Mamas, have a question abeg. What's the difference btw Baby receiving blanket and flannel? Also is burp cloth different from the normal face towel?, need to start baby shopping soon. |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Chanbaby: 7:09pm On Feb 11, 2017 |
lululuv: In my own opinion a receiving blanket is thicker than flannel also receiving blanket is used once the baby is born to cover him or her up from cold. Burp cloth is different from face towel both can serve both purpose. It's what u put on ur shoulder when u want the baby to burp after feeding instead of directly on your shoulder. 3 Likes |

ambient: My second son did the same thing. It was the 2 on the sides before the front incisors. When the front incisors finally came out, they were really big (compared to the others). |

zimunachimdi: I wrap such that when he bites the cotton wool cushions my finger. In short he likes me cleaning his mouth cos it's usually free for all biting galore. Then I take my finger in through the sides where no teeth. He doesn't have top teeth sha o, maybe your lo has more teeth 2 Likes

amypearl:There's zaynie's sugar and palmoil recipe but I don't know the age one can use that...(personally I don't subscribe to sugar for babies, so if I were you id stick with your doctor's prescription) If your baby is not ebf, you can give freshly squeezed orange juice too to up the VIT c |

tippex: Was using Sebamed soap for my baby, then switched to boots and noticed cradle cap few days after. I quickly switched back to Sebamed not minding the cost and didn't see the those scaly patches 2 days later. I dunno if that was what worked but all i know is that it went really quick |

sugah: She is doing very well o, growing bigger and bigger and i am glad because she was very small when i had her. I have been dealing with rashes/ela for some weeks now. There are so many patches on her upper body, her face has become so rough and itchy, she is always scratching her face and neck. I have been using the powder, the one in the red can, cant remember the name now and i haven't noticed any difference yet. I even used red akalifer to bathe her still no difference. Someone even advised me to give her the water to drink, i said lailai. Also her back hair is falling off which is why i asked about the shampoo. Is goodies supermarket in Lekki? cc @wholesomegrace |

sugah: Thanks Cappo. She is doing great, getting bigger by the day and i am so glad considering the fact that she was very tiny when i had her. I have been dealing with rashes/ela these past few weeks, its all over her upper body, especially her face, neck and back. I have been using agnesia powder which i don't think is working, but i am still using it anyway. I have also tried red akalifer which i used to bathe her for like 4 days but i still did not see any changes, someone even suggested that i give her to drink but i said lai lai, e never reach. My MIL said i should use sudocrem which i have tried a few times but i am officially tired. The hair at the back of her head is also falling off, i think its cradle cap which is why i asked about the shampoo. Please is goodies supermarket on the island? cc@wholesomegrace |

@tippex That rash can be very stubborn to treat... I tried several stuffs to no avail, until I took my DS to a Paed... He prescribed Zinnat Suspension - 2.5ml for baby twice daily (discard after the 7th day) and Mupirocen Ointment (rub on affected parts alone)... The drugs cost about 5k depending on your location... The rashes/ela will clear off in less than 2days... Note: You can confirm the drug usage from a pharmacist or paed before use... 1 Like 2 Shares |
