I am not condemning her. I pointed out the error in what she did. Especially when she also wrote that she didn't regret her action. You women are not doing her well o. Continue. And whoever said I was perfect? I am not perfect. But I would not mind if someone knocks sense into me if they see me doing something wrong or foolish. In fact, I would cherish that person for loving me enough to say the truth. Some would never say anything and you will fall and hurt yourself badly. Enough said. You guys should not quote me again. Thank you.

And I doubt I will bother to drop any advice here again. I will do like many mamas do. See the issue, and jump and pass like nothing concern me.

I have to login to comment on your issue. Let us call a spade a spade, you need to grow up. I see no reason why you post here when you won't listen to reasonable advice. You were warned before entering it. I remember commenting on your post then but you never listened.
I know some people will say I sound HARSH but if you followed this her posts you will know she really need someone to talk sense to her.
I agree with u....I remb mamas warning u about marrying him then bcs d man in question have started treating her badly, I guess she part of d reason she didn't listen was bcs if her child, but the truth is its better to be single mother and get married to anoda man who will love u and ur child tomorrow, Dan to start managing a marriage, how long can u manage? I hope u have learnt ur lesson, I don't advice people to leave dre marriage o, so I honestly don't knw what to tell her, prevention dey say is better Dan cure.

Dear Flowerlady01, move along already. The truth is that your initial response to her was harsh, mean even. There are better ways and I appreciate the mothers that were empathetic in their response.
If this is your way of offering advice, I doubt if anyone here will miss it.

I took lipton tea thru out my pregnancy (later switched to top tea). It helped with my nausea as I experienced it the whole 9 months. I took at most 2 cups a day. I also ate healthy! Lots of fruits! I also used lots of milk in the tea. My baby weighed 3.7kg at birth.

Just take in moderation pls. What works for A may not work for B

I don't think Lipton is advisable o
Maybe you do put enough milk sha.

Taking it bare or with little milk causes breathing problem for the fetus. Even after birth, they tend to have cold related illness especially cough.

I avoided it.

Anytime I try to correct someone and I come off as being judgemental or harsh; anytime I try to correct someone in writing and my message does not vibrate with love....for me, it is a call to look inwards.

Sometimes. We transfer our aggression/angst/insecurities (in whatever form or manner) to people under the guise of tough loving.

Initially when I read Maamaa's post, I wanted to scold her cos I was there when her story began.
But then I realized that I can actually be better, and that the reason I felt such anger wasn't just because of her experience.
If anything, it was a call for me to evaluate my emotional health. I wasn't at my best so I refrained from commenting.

There is a way you can scold someone, yet Love and sincere concern will be oozing through your words. So far, those of us who have been scolding her seem to the oozing out the opposites of Sincere Concern and Love.

Remember, Love is patient, it is caring. It is kind.

Before you speak to her, please take sometime and evaluate your emotional wellbeing.
If you really feel good about yourself and being....chances are that you will transmit the same energy to her.

But if you do not feel all that good, chances are that (no matter how good your intentions)....you will end up transmitting same amount of negativity you are carrying, be it mild or heavy.

Share the Love, not the Negativity.
Before you speak, THINK.
Be sure that your words are Thoughtful, helpful, inspiring, needful and kind.

Shalom.

That's why I told her that what works for A may not work for B!
I consulted my doctor before I started drinking lipton and he told me not to take more than 2 cups per day and not everyday and also to add lots of milk which I did.

That's why I also told her that if she must take it, she has to do so in moderation!

@giddyperson

I use graco pack and play with reversible napper and changer. We got it from a shop in abuja for 55k. But on konga and Jumia, it's about 10k cheaper. Think I saw it for 45k once but u can check sha

For the napper, my son outgrew it in 3weeks! He grew taller than the napper so we stopped using it. Other than that, he loved to sleep in it every afternoon and we were usually tempted to leave him there at night.

Since our room is small, we move the cot out to the living room in the morning, and we move it back to the room at night. We got the pack and play because we can easily pack it and travel with it (dh and I intend to travel a lot this new year)

For the cot itself, we recently discovered that our son didn't like it because it's hard. So I added layers upon layers of bedsheets and his extra blankets to make it soft and he sleeps better in there presently (I tuked them in to avoid him pulling them out when he's fussy)

As for the clothes, ma'am alphahandmaiden has said it all!
I didn't buy any new born size
But we got quite a good number of new born sized clothes as gifts and guess what! Some of them didn't size my son and some he outgrew in a few days!!! So be careful when buying newborn sizes

We also got a good number of 0-3months sizes and those ones fit well. He only outgrew one (it was looking quite small sha)

I bought only 3-6months and 6-9months size of clothes basically because I knew he would be going nowhere in the first 3 months. Though I have a few 0-3months that are his perfect size (he wears those ones when we go for immunization.....though I mostly just wear him bodysuit and cover him up with a flannel)

I have more than 10 bodysuits and more than 10 sleepsuits
I have about 10 shirts/polos/sleeveless tops and maybe 7 trousers

About 20 washcloths (most were gifts)
10 socks
Maybe 6 mittens (just like ma'am alpha said, forget mittens. They don't stay on for long)
I have 7 bibs. I barely use them anyway and I wash every day. But there's no harm in having a lot just like ma'am alpha said.

I have about 7 caps which I don't use because Abuja heat can deep fry chicken and my son sweats a lot.

I've attached a photo of the cot I have

Side note - I love the changer cos it's so easy to change his diaper there. If poo stains it, you can clean easily with wipes

We are going to take out the napper and changer so he can use the cot bed fully

I was told you don't add an extra mattress to the cot but I don't know sha. Me I might add later when he's older

So tell me after all u told her, what was d solution u proffered? At least I read lots of comments telling her to let her husband in and straighten things out...they would have also been very harsh on her but ist dey looked at sum factors or shd I say circumstances surrounding d issue, ist u will notice she's not emotionally stable, she's pregnant, preg hormones alone can make u do things u can't imagine, do u knw DAT d one u sounded can actually make her do regrettable things to herself, why? Bcs she's not stable at that point, with the way shes sounding she has gone through a lot, if she had her way am sure she won't have done such, yes u are trying to knock or talk sense into her but plz do that when she's stable...for her to bring it up here den she really needs to talk to sum1...

Kneel on a pillow on the floor while resting your elbows on the tip of your bed, leboo can enter from the back that way. Or you can kneel on the tip of your bed while he enters from behind yle standing if he's tall! Hope this helps
