Great thread here, very enlightening ... I have a few questions: 1. If one gets an ITA without doing a credential evaluation, is it still necessary to do one? In other words, in completing your profile, you had noted that the credential evaluation has not been done yet but you still received a good score and got an ITA, do you still have to do the credential evaluation? What impact does the credential evaluation have on CIC's decision and are there any examples of people who have successfully applied without doing the evaluation. 2. What are the chances of getting a police clearance certificate without being physically present in Nigeria? 3. With respect to proof of FOP, reading through this thread I see people talking about average balance being what is required. Is average balance still what is required today or this has changed? I ask this because of this additional information I found on the CIC page If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must: • list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months, • list all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans, • be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and address). The portion in bold does not state average balance so can any one advice? 4. Is there any lawyer qualified in Nigeria here who has successfully gotten PR through EE? If yes, in what NOC category did you apply? I am grateful for insightful answers to the above. Thank you |

1. the principal applicant MUST have an education assessment evaluation in order to enter the express pool. its an immigration service for workers. in order to work you need to assess your Nigerian certificate to get its equivalent in Canadian certificate . 2 on the issue of police certificate am sure its possible 3. on POF if you check the CIC website you will see that you need a specified amount of money in your account (if you dont have a job at the time of your application) 4. on the NOC for lawyers i think the appropriate one is 4211 olori0ko: |

Find below this love letter from IRCC. Dear Candidate, This is to notify you that the requirements for proof of settlement funds has changed for 2017. Settlement funds are only required for certain candidates depending on the program(s) you qualify for. *Please check the Express Entry Proof of Funds webpage on the IRCC website to make sure that you have enough funds to be eligible to immigrate to Canada. You may have to update your Express Entry profile to prove you have the required funds. If you do not have sufficient funds, your profile will be removed from the Express Entry pool. Please review the changes and update your Express Entry profile if these changes affect you. Thank you, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada |

Thanks for your response. With respect to number 1 and your response to same, like i noted the question applies to someone ALREADY in the pool and ALREADY has an ITA. If the principal applicant having an education assessment certificate number was a must, I do not think the system would have permitted entrance into the pool. To provide more perspective, I believe the principal applicant in this case has a canadian qualification as the highest qualification. The focus was with respect to the spouse, so to rephrase ... is the credential assessment essential for the spouse, where there is a score high enough to get an ITA and the principal applicant has Canadian qualification? optionese: |

I just tried the fax zero, one document though. Just a follow up with WES on why my status is still showing Document in review after over seven working days of receipt. I sent a mail, they are yet to respond. I called, they only receive calls between 9 to 2pm. So i tried out the fax option. Fingers crossed . Thanks bro. #Godsgotit. dannio: |

they sent me a mail saying my fax could not be sent cos the documents i sent was more than 3 pages. you know the application letter itself has 3 pages, so if i add two more documents that is already 5 pages . how did you send your other documents? by the way did they evaluate your documents within 10 days of receipt of all your documents ? dannio: |

Good evening pple, pls I have a question to ask. My hubby sent his IELTS score for a remark and is to collect d result on friday. British council said they increased his score so we're hoping to get atleast 450. Are we going to get ITA immediately we update our new IELTS scores to the site or do we have to wait till the next draw (hopefully it remains below 450) to get ITA? Pls ur response will be highly appreciated. |

Hello, My spouse and I have decided to apply separately. To this effect, I want to include my younger siblings and my elderly parents in my application as dependants. Can I include siblings and parents who have full-time paid employment in my application as dependants and exclude my spouse? |

chuglothen: By this, you mean the NOC code you have to pick? That will be the one where you have worked for four years. Ur work experience doesn't necessarily have to tally with your Education. |
