Oga, sorry to ask o! How far is this house from the beach? Was any study done before this house was built by the beach? From the small news wen I dey watch, I hear say glacier dey melt (global warming) and water level dey rise.... hope water no go spoil this your work?

My dad told me a story that during the 80's, when he came for a Job interview in Lagos, he was offered a plot of land at Sandfill Bustop area in Lekki (Where you have oriental Hotel) and his friend told him that the place was water logged, no houses, and that the beach around that area will over float one day and will tear down houses. said as a result he didn't buy even though it was offered to him for N3,000. Moreover, as Lekki began to develop into a city, he kept on telling his guys to be carefull because the water on the beach one day will take houses. Today people leave in lekki, developed in lekki. Eko atlantic is right on top of water. every body is just enjoying their selves there, properties are rising everyday. Imagine say my dad bought that land then, maybe em for cut small for me for inside yet people are still waiting for water to rise.

So if you think of the water rising, you will definately miss out on what this beautiful holiday home has to offer. Besides the foundation was suspended such that when water flows to the Building if it ever does which i Doubt, it can flow underneath.

Trust me, water is actually rising and l have seen it with my own naked eyes, as the Beach front tore down houses, street roads, schools, e.t.c for as far as almost One Kilometer to the previous water edge.
This was around Chevron round-about, if you go straight down to Alpha Beach!
There is not road there now, you have to do a merry-go-round.
I am sure people living around there can testify to this.

If you admit and prepare for it in advance (like having a floating foundation ...though this building shows nothing indicating the foundation is a "floating type" but it is a Pile Foundation), you may be able to escape any sad stories but to deny its existence is a recipe for disaster.

Read my text Sir!! we all know what is rising, and has been rising for some time, that doesn't mean you don't build what you want to build. My oga just said Building close to the Beach is a concern. Me i don't see a concern with that, as far as water can pass through the foundation when and if it gets to you building. So i remember the Alpha Beach situation years back. that hasn't stopped people from living there. like I said, live the way you want to leave. As for me I like it ooo. If na me, I no mind looking for a way to build in the middle of the water.
