Not a single Nigerian airport made the list of Africa's top ten airport as ranked by a reputable Canadian travel and hospitality firm. The Guide to Sleeping in Airports on its website http://www.sleepinginairports.net had run a survey on best airports around the world, the result placing the Cape Town International Airport as the number one airport in the continent.



The survey released on February 8 2017, had in October 2016 asked travellers to rate airports worldwide on their overall experience on factors like comfort, services, security, customer service and cleanliness.



A statement on their website revealed that Cape Town International Airport is a long-standing fan favourite. Travellers are consistently happy with the terminals’ cleanliness and simplicity – and they’re pleased with the helpful and friendly staff. Amenities like 24 hours of free Wi-Fi, a few pay-to-use lounges, a small budget-friendly grocery store and a library are other welcome additions, not often seen in terminals across the continent.



Kigali International Airport, Rwanda (KGL) came second on the list as best airport in Africa and number one in East Africa.



Passengers are pleased by the clean and modern terminals and by how helpful their staff have been. The airport itself is decently easy to navigate, and services like e-clearing can limit the time you spend in lineups.



Not a single West African airport made the list.

No nonsense attitude to corruption, that's Rwanda. Small population is very subjective phrase. Russia is many times the size of 9ja, with a smaller population, are they now a "small " country? Rwanda is a very densely populated country, trying to leverage modern best management practices and traditional rwandese culture in the running of institutions. You should try visit Rwanda one day and see how they deal with solid waste for instance. Puts alot of countries to shame.
