Hello house, I noticed that vfs didn't collect my original documents like marriage certificate, change of name etc is this the norm, they only accepted photocopies.

No I haven't tried again. I tried since last week wednesday the very day submitted and on sunday they said they didnt have my details yet.

Anyways I had called vfsglobal before and they confirmed that my app is still under processing... they also confirmed my email address as correct, so i wonder why I didn't get acknowledgment email after submission... anyways fingers crossed.

Yes, they said they needed only original passports and any letter addressed to the embassy should be original. The other certificates I notarized the photocopies.

I submitted my application online August 25th, Biometric August 31st. Just wanna confirm from what date should one start counting from? Is it from the date of submission or wen i did biometric?

Start counting from when IRCC receives your application.

Yes nau. They dont collect originals of certificates (birth, marriage and school) because they cant guarantee they will be sent back to you. Do you want your originals to get lost in transit or in the midst of plenty docs at cic?

You've already been approved. I guess if u want your spouse to apply it will den reflect in their application. But it will do alot of good if your status was commo law relationship when u applied. At least that's what i did while i was engaged during my application for a study permit, and in also got married before my approval for study came. I am currently in Canada and currently working on SOWP for my wife which was my common law partner during my applcation

No it will be treated as paper application, there is nothing to worry about, the reason for linking is just to know when there is any update in your application.

Welcome to the club, well in my own opinion you should have uploaded your statement of Account but since you did not you can send a mail of enquiry to find out if you can still upload it or hope and pray that your application pulls through witnout it. Also lately it has been observed that online applications takes longer than paper route, if you read through properly you ll confirm that. Some online apps took about 6 to 8 months but most people eventually got their visas. Am sure the gurus can give you more information as required.

@adedoyen, the 'last lap' of your application process (paper route) is the biometrics after which you will be given a yellow slip to track your application with. So yes it is done same day at the VFS office. All the best.

Yes you can add your asset, anything you think that will make your application stronger is accepted to add. VFS will not accept wedding pictures, so no need going with it.

Land property is a big plus. It proves that you have strong home ties. I will advice you submit that too

Bank statements,Letter address to embassy must be original, the other documents are accepted in photocopies

These documents are overloaded sef. Lol. Since your hubby has a PGWP, my questions would be is his work in NOC O, A or B and full time? Also, hope his letter of employment has details like his job position (i believe), his hours, and states it is full time? If not, he should get a recent letter from his employer stating those cogent points and/or point that out in his LOE supporting your application. He could also include utility bills (phone and/or internet) that have his name on it. This is to prove his residential address in Canada.

As a PGWP holder, no bank statement is needed really. Pay slips are enough proof of funds. That's what i also did (no bank statements). Nevertheless, there is no harm including it/them.
