DarkRebel101:
The Igbos lack tact, otherwise they'd have long achieved their dream of seccession, or at least be a coat of paint away from actualising that dream.

No president of Nigeria would like to go down in history as the man under whose leadership the nation got divvied up. Hence, he would –along with members of his political entourage–employ every trick up his tweed sleeves to frustrate, repress, and annihilate every seccesionist syllable sprouting from the jaws of a revolution. One of which stratagems bound to be fielded being the age-long weapon in politicking: bureaucracy!

To bypass the political rigmarole, the igbos should instead vie for regional government. When that has been realised, seccession would be as easy as shooting an acquatically-challenged fish in a size-challenged barrel, after all, when regionalism is in praxis an all-powerful central government would be virtually non-existent.

u r right by sayn regionalism shud be d agitation.but even on dat d hausa fulani and yorubas will not support it.we v seen it in all d conferences since 1979.is only d south east and nw d south south who clamour 4 it.all we knw is dat one day one of d agitatns will be achieved and d various components dat make up nig will dev well.

Arrant lubbish!

They dont trust you to head any important position yet you head the NNPC (Ibe Kachukwu) and you head the CBN
What else do you want handed to you on a platter of gold?

Trust is not forced, it is earned!

When the President took ill, it is you same people that was praying that he dies and started spreading rumours that he is dead
It is you same people that say Nigeria is a zoo
It is you same people that attack every other tribe, especially the major two!
It is you same people, when one of you was made the V.C of the Premier University of Ibadan in those days, that filled the whole place with Ibo personnel (Yes, at Ibadan!)
It is you same people that set-up a renegade radio station, threatening and insulting Nigeria and Nigerians, claiming you are Jews!
It is you same people that have a different flag, within Nigeria, something other tribes will never do (not even Niger Delta that feels agitated)
It is you same people that will sell whatever position that was given to you, for personal gains (recall when an "Ibo Man" was the Senate President, he was changed every three months!)
It is this same you people that cannot forge an "alliance" with other tribes, to advance your political interest! Always opposing others.

Northerners/Hausa/Fulani, you hate!
South Westerners/Yorubas, you detest passionately!!

Wetin, na only una follow come? Abeg stop Wailing joor.

PROVE TO NIGERIA THAT YOU BELONG HERE, THAT YOU CAN BE TRUSTED OR JUST RETURN TO YOUR SOUTH EAST AND DECLARE BIAFRA THERE.

Have you been to any southeast state? only Lagos can beat Anambra When it comes to infrastructures and industries.

I really wish that all of the Igbos screaming for "One Nigeria" would come and see this thread. Every Igbo man and woman needs to understand that the vast majority of Nigerians do not really see them as their equals, deserving of the same opportunities they have. Why exactly do some of us still want to stay in the same country as these people?

this man dey talk true. e get one Igbo woman, upon all the book and certificate(bsc plus MSC) she get during the 80's,90's and early millenium, she was cheated in rank big time though she did very well in attaining a senior ranked position but with her background, she was suppose to have escorts, housing, official cars following her. she felt bitter when she sees her northern junior officers with no certificate becoming bosses over her.

when she sees them on media, she goes like " look at Aminu sadiq, I started this job before them, but look at me today and how far they have passed me in rank"

The I BEFORE OTHERS are now crying wolf where there is non going back to the 1st and second republic.
Who was the minister of education? I BEFORE OTHERS
Who was the minister of external affairs? I BEFORE OTHERS
Who was the minster of Aviation? I BEFORE OTHERS
Who was the minster of Transport? I OTHERS
Who was the GM Nigeria Railway Corporation? I BEFORE OTHERS.
Who was the Chief Accountant of Nigeria Railway Corporation
I BEFORE OTHERS.
Recall "I LOVE CARS" Daily Times caption when the Chief Accountant was caught with 7cars in his residence during the first military administration where he said I LOVE CARS that was the beginning of the beginning of corrupt practices.
And other ministerial appointments and head of government agencies too many to mention, these were just for the 1st republic.
The second republic and Jonathan era were dominated by the
I BEFORE OTHERS but now that event seemed to have changed a little they the I BEFORE OTHERS are now crying marginalization and wanted to leave the country for an imaginary Jewish country.
They also forgot that more than 75% of them are spread all over the states other than their own in the country according to one of the former state governor of Nigerian state.
They had better taken their faith as it is now wait for their turn and pray for the better future in the country Nigeria.

Do you feel the Itsekiri, Igala, Efik, Kalabari, Urhobo, Yoruba, Idoma, Bini, Egun etc., have not experienced the same thing at different levels? aloziedaya:
The Igbo's are the only tribe in Nigeria that believe in 'one Nigeria' and that is where their problem lies. If you are dealing with a Hausa man, he first thinks of his religion and ethnicity, a Yoruba man thinks of his ethnicity first but an Igbo man thinks of one Nigeria. If you come to the east you hardly see any structure built by a Hausa man or Yoruba but, travel all over Nigeria the Igbo's are developing them bearing in mind the 'one Nigeria' syndrome.
The Igbo man's quest for wealth has robbed him of his sense of belonging. That is why they develop other cities while theirs lay bare. Lagos today is developed by the igbos. Imagine what would happen if the igbo businesses in Lagos are in the east. Every major market in Lagos is dominated by them; ALABA INTERNATIONAL, TRADEFAIR, COMPUTER VILLAGE, LADIPO AUTO MARKET, BERGER AUTO MARKET, IDUMOTA etc. These are the backbone of Lagos state. They'll tell you that the seaport is in Lagos but, the largest motorcycle spare parts market in Africa is in Nnewi and, it is striving without any seaport in the east.
Have you imagined what would have happened if these markets are dominated by the hausas? Or the Yorubas dominating these markets in another state? Of course they would have transfered them to their areas.
Igbo's need to rethink and realize their mistakes. Develop your own. If you make billions in lagos and the billions are still reinvested in Lagos, you've not made anything. Aku ruo ulo amara onye nwe ya. Igboland will develop when we make wealth outside and send it home. The houses you build in Lagos because of the appreciation rate of Lagos can be built equally in the east to boost the appreciation rate there. Lagos is appreciating because you've developed it, do same down home.
Politically, Igbo's are marginalized because they are seen as divided people who cannot come together with one voice.
actually the Ibo will stick to any place where he's able to make profit....Nigeria be damned
