No offense , but I am bit disappointed this is coming from a Comp Sci student ,I dont mean to sound harsh but the world has evolved to a point that people who studied any thing that has to do with computers should'nt be looking for a job.Especially Computer Science !!!! .
If you didn't do cram and pour , and you actually understand what computer science is and its practical basics .And you actually earned your degree on merit .
Look for a problem around you and use programming to solve it ,and you would never be broke again.
I am a programmer who studied EE ,so you are in a better position to succeed .
The sky is always your starting point .
Learn to stop thinking salary and 9-5 would solve your problems .

@OP, the solution to your problem is on the inside of you if you had those credentials you mentioned. I graduated with 2.2 in botany but I got a job in a redundant federal commission that reduces salaries without circular to why it happened. I had to start working on fiverr to keep my family together despite the 70+ I collect every month it doesn't solve my problem it only pay my monthly bills and food but I earn *2 of that from the little computing I learned myself. I can boast in God today that am better of than last year when I never started fiverr full time. I have USA clients that give me works on a rolling basis but no one would believe I studied botany- PLANT SCIENCE. If you can only think outside the box you will never look for a job again. I have a friend who studied the same course but a react.js professional, he just got a job of 125k today with no connection but just dexterity and a bit of passion to see outside what's outside the computer science curriculum. So THINK THINK AND THINK, That 20k for business may not come o walahi, been there before and I know what am saying, but you have a laptop (am sure of that), you have battery? you have small gen? what are you waiting for?

one of da most difficult moments in life is to be a job seeker in a country like naija. Even a failure in enterprenuership will give u an advice to join him in d biz just because he also want to counsel u. While enterprenuership is good, its unfortunate dt not every graduate can be one. U cant bcom a coren registered engr today without working under practising engrs for some yrs with evidences. I think d factors dt hav caused job scarcity in nigeria today have also affected growth of business. @OP, God will bless ur hustle to achieve ur aim. i also got different similar advice like dis b4 God intervened

What are you presently doing Donald. I know it took you sometime to get where you are.

Presently I'm underemployed because I felt during my undergraduate days programming weren't necessary for me. But now i had to go back to it because no jobs in other field. Give the guy some space pls.

You are getting the wrong notion sir ,I am not condemning him ,on the contrary I am inspiring him,all I am saying he can succeed without focusing on looking for a job,regardless of what he studied .There are a lot of problems around the world today that need solutions ,it might take a while .Even if he studied agriculture,I am saying he can succeed without depending on a job,he just has to focus on solving problems and finding unique ways to solve them(since he cant get a job-and he would even attain more success and money with time) ., maybe i put it wrongly ,but I am sure you get what I mean.

Me with my strong 2.1math/comp.sci still here jobless, if na to pray i don turn to prayer warrior all to no avail but I still blv God can do it, I've attended some interviews only to meet like 50 applicants (some with experience) on one/two positions hmmm also no even 20k to start any business

After Time spent online: 9 days & 15 hours with posts (254), what money have you been using
Have you thought of VOLUNTEERING for a school, religious group, charitable association such as an orphanage to set up a simple system for them and maintain for them until they find you indispensable and realise how much VALUE you have added to their organisation they start OFFERING to pay you out of their own volition and you start climbing from there.
Otherwise keep waiting and doing prayer warrior there.
