It seems Lagos State emergency response management effectiveness doesn't extend to its fire service department .....too many cases of poorly combated fire incidents abound in Lagos



I hope the burnt properties are properly insured sha and the company is up to date on their premiums. ..because Nigerian insurance companies have all sorts of tricks to avoid paying insurance claims

Not entirely correct.

There is a limit to quantity of water a fire truck can carry.
It uses pumps to discharge this limited water and so within 20mins, its empty.

What then do you do with an empty truck?

The best option is for fire hydrants be built all over the state. Until then, there is nothing the fire service can do.
