In addition to this, how connected a school is matters too. Some NY schools are good for this.

That was the first thing i noticed last year when i started reading NL and transcripts ....the dollar is high , i agree but those low ranked schools do not make you competitive for the market place once you are done especially if you need h1b .......

You all need to think about life after school and prospect......

It depends on when the school's deadline for application is and most schools don't send out admission decisions until after deadline when deliberations has been made and filtered out qualified candidates. Just be patient or email the admission office if your curiosity is on the high.

No serious school will accept a mere "statement of result". Anyone can forge that. Get your school to send an official transcript.

Even if your school has a rolling admission, 2 weeks is not enough time.
You are not the only applying to that school. They will need to process ur docs and ensure its complete before they review it, Allow a month.
If ur school is not rolling, the wait go still long.. Just goan buy playstation.

There are jobs. Nigeria needs more and more highly skilled professionals. Trust me.

There are machines and the foreigners who work here are paid $100 per day. So, I cleverly asked them to keep mum to allow a local electrical engineer repair a machine for us. He said we have to change something and was using screwdriver to cause more damage. He was obviously doing a guess work. Then one of the foreigners came, pin-pointed the problem and fixed it immediately and the machine started to work again. The electrical engineer became ashamed of himself.

I felt moved. Really, I have decided to learn these machines. Maybe, after one or two years, whoever that contacts me would have to pay at least half of what foreigners here are being paid for me to get the job done for them and save more money for these companies.

The flight tickets of these foreigners alone cost millions of naira. Not to talk of accomodation, food and so on.

Certificates without great skills cannot take you to the Promised Land.

Ordinary 2 weeks, more than two months I still dey wait for decision. Just chill and make sure you chat with the grad coord from time to time.

During my school career fair, most companies require you to be a citizen/PR/asylum before you can apply for an internship or coop position s. Infact an HR ask me if I have other plans to get GreenCard because they aren't ready to file for anybody. The military guys advised me to go and get married and come back to apply.. Peeps, start working towards something maybe pHD,it will always come handy.Kudos guys.
