I laugh when people keep accusing the previous administration of the continuous crashing of the naira. I ask, for close to two years of dis government in power, have they made any move to stop d free fall of the naira. At this point, by December the naira would just be as Ghana cedes back then
I laugh when you people blindly/in ignorance blame the current government for the woes of the naira. What would the government have done? Our only source of forex the oil has lost more than 50% of it value and you expect naira to do better than it is currently doing?

Isn't you lot that specalise in praising and defending corrupt elements? When only one person hid over 9 million dollars and you expect us not to have scarcity? Imagine the amount of dollars that has been stolen by the polithievians?

The situation of the naira is not rock science. Those of us who use their heads knew the value of the naira under GEJ was artificial. And we also know that wi dwindling oil prices, the naira can only be battered.

The only excuse they can give is the oil prices ( which by the way has increased ) then the usual mumo jumbo about looting the yakubu fellow is the latest scapegoat. He is responsible for everything wrong. In fact listening to you one would think the man is the CBN governor. SMH

my beloved naija people let us earn US Dollars from outside the country and repatriate it to naija if we want the naira to appreciate. Click the link on my signature and buy marketing units and pay with naira and earn US Dollars everyday.

when over 500,000 nigerians earn US Dollars overseas and repatriate the US Dollars to naija our naira would be strong.

About time the government should consider devaluing the naira. This is really sad. It appears that there is no coherent currency policy (how can there be when the president is on indefinite leave in a foreign country).

No one is defending anyone here. It's simple logic, u think it's becos people are hiding dollars that's what is making the naira nose dive? Even if effc gets all d dollars that was looted back into the coffers of the government without sound policies, we'll still remain in this position if not worse.

Did you read what I wrote? Hiding the dollars is simply one of the reasons. The real reason is the dwindling value of crude oil. Also, the value we had under GEJ was never the real value, it was padded. Our foreign reserve was being used to support the naira. Many then shouted but GEJ was keen on deluding people.

Oil has increased? To what? Is it up to $70 to a barrel? How much was it sold for under GEJ?
