My BS
I gave birth to my cute prince on the 7th of February. Scan dates were 2nd ,8th,14th, According to LMP and gynae 17th.
My pregnancy journey was very very smooth, I was a workaholic oo, coupled with the fact that I was running my MSc field work in the west and hubby lives in delta state, so I was travelling once in 2 months.
I show the so called *show* on the 5th(Sunday evening), I just told my husband and he was like that means baby will soon come Ba? I said no joor till the following week ooo( my bro and dads birthday 15th and 17th respectively.
On monday the 6th I woke up early to go shopping at a village market with a family friend, left home with hubby at past 6am, got to market and bought all foodstuffs to last for 2months. I was doing fine until I got back home around 1pm. You needed to see me working oo, blended all blendables, cooked, swept, dusted, mopped, washed clothes. My neighbour was like madam take am easy ooo. I said I just want to get all done with and rest.
Fast forward to about 3am on the 7th( Tuesday), I started feeling backpains, woke hubby up and he kept massaging, he was like isn't this contractions, I said no joor na the stress I went tru day before, we slept back ooo.
Around past 4am, it was coming on and off, I couldn't sleep again, dh said let's go to hospital na im I say hospital kwa, oga chill na just back pain( olodo like me). He said we should pack hospital bag, we did oo, I cooked, we ate and left for hospital but I purposely didn't carry hospital bag( just carried the pad comfits alone) but left the key by our staircase in case anything happens. So we sha got to hospital by past 7am.
The nurse and doc on nighgt shift did normal check up and for the first time VE (that shit is so discomforting) mheen I was declared 5cm gone, Haaa 5cm ke Oluwa oooo, na so dem start to do registrations ooo, checking my file, called matron and my gynaecologist that them patient don land ooo. Hubby was happy but had to leave for work.
I was checked into the observation room by past nine, see me chatting with my bestie on phone ooo, nurse said hmmm you go soon hear am. Sincerely I was very calm, called my neighbour and family friend to inform them to bring my bag, they were surprised.
Nurse did her own VE and said 6cm , my gynea came past 10am did his own VE and said 7cm also broke my water, that was when I started feeling correct contractions ( 6-7 every 10mins matron came in past 11 and did her own oo, 8cm. With each contraction I was told to breathe in and out, I was doing this well and holding on to the hospital bed, I wasn't shouting ooo. But I kept tugging at the two nurses assigned to me( they were massaging my back and d oda monitoring heartbeat). Matron came in and joined too, making three pple ooo. At about 12pm I told them I can't take d pain oo, that if they don't want me to shout and cry make dem call my gynae I wan do CS oooo. They just started rebuking it saying am their first this morning and going into the theatre is not their plan oo, oh they kept praising and encouraging me, did another VE and gbaam 9cm. I changed into wrapper, they helped me drain my urine and supported me walking into the delivery room.

They prayed and started setting up all necessary stuffs while I laid sideways on the bed with one nurse massaging my back, at a point I felt like a truck just walked over me, I shouted and was moaning oooo, then i kept on saying * JESUS I NEED YOUR GRACE AND STRENGTH*, oh!the second nurse then said I should start saying our Winners Chapel Declarations after her(she's my church member, got to know that day).
Some minutes to 1pm, I was fully dilated and taught how to push looking at my tummy after 5attempts my prince came out screaming the whole place oooo, weighed 3.0kg but the matron gave me episiotomy ooo, imagine she said cause she felt I was tight, doc said she shouldn't have sha.
That was when I cried ooo, the matron hugged me and said for my age and tribe I was strong chai but I knew deep down it was Jesus that helped me as I kept imagining him on the cross taking away all my pains and I tried staying positive that I will birth this baby alive and well.
LO is two weeks today, he's healthy and I am back on my feet( I went shopping naming ceremony things myself).
Wishing other February Mamas safe delivery and the entire house Smooth preggy journey.

Sometimes i just look at her like...u think u're doing me,u don't know u're doing urself. Sometimes she will deliberately come back late from work,i mean as late as 10pm so as not to do anything at home despite my warnings, when i discovered that she continues i stopped talking,i just ignore anything she does....hmmm....pardon my rants.....it is well
I understand u well jare. may God continue to be ur strength sis. when d time comes, she'll defo remember all she's putting up as an attitude today thinking she's doing u; for good or for good too

He who began the good work will surely see you through to the joyous testimony. Can you recommend a good gynaecologist in Ado for me? Just moved into Ado Ekiti. Thanks.
Go to St. Gregory Hospital, Bashiri road, Ado-Ekiti.

Ask of Dr. Ovo Okurumeh, He is a professional and a genius. My wife's gynaecologist.

That's how most of them are they feel like madam dey claim stupid iya oko I knw that feeling my husby cousin is like that too only help wen she feels like like say she dey do u favour just continue to ignore her she doing her sef when she get married she will call her mil to do it for her or turn her dh to cook..

My dear sis, she will be 26 this year,i have talked and talked.Initially i advice her and talk to her like my little sister, sometimes i instruct her on what/how to do in the house but i discovered that each time i do that she gives me some kind of attitude...either she sees me the next morning she will not greet or she just displays some stupid attitude so i stopped instructing or advising her....i don't call her to help me do things,i just do it on my own. I have complained many times to dh but most times he's very soft with her, they're orphans and if you talk too much or even try to be strict they see you as wicked or that u're maltreating them.....so i imagined that it's only i and hubby living in the house and just ignore her......sometimes she pretends to be sleeping while i cook but the moment i finish,i call her that food is ready then she jumps up immediately to come and eat......my sis i have seen a lot in the past 1yr she has been with us and on this journey i've decided to be strong

Boaz Oluwatobiloba is two weeks today, he's healthy and I am back on my feet( I went shopping naming ceremony things myself).
Wishing other February Mamas safe delivery and the entire house Smooth preggy journey.
