You're yet to understand the link between Catholics and traditional worshipers. Though they may differs in certain ways, but one thing unite and bind them together. And what is it? Idol worship!

I tell you, both of them do 'honor' their fathers and mothers very well.
Jesus Christ had said;
'I did not come to abolish the Law,but to modify them'.
How much do you understand that statement.......
Does it only relate to the ten commandment of Moses or the Do me I do you.....
Where do you categorize Ancient Paganism into.......
Before you becoming a Priest,you'll study Philosophy-4years... And Theology-4years....
During these years, you'll really know what Christianity is.......
Before you qoute me,know that the priest Studied Ancient Religion for 2 years under Theology.......

Hypocrisy is when you claim to be a Christian and you also see nothing wrong in celebrating Halloween, and then you call the African culture fetish

I can see it this way, eating with pagans doesnt mean you're one, catching monkey you need to behave like one, even in the Bible where Jesus was found with non Jews were been query by the overzealous Pharisees and know it all Saducee. Masquerade can be spiritual but not all, some are typically for festival.. he can do that to draw more out of the sinful world, he has his best reason.. he is in the center... he can dance to the best of his knowledge

Being a priest is really tough and makes them mostly confused,

They JOIN the seminary due to parental influence when THE flesh hasn't been conquered and end up being regular men wearing cassocks...

They become habitual drinkers due to constant consumption of the communion wine,
get turned on/aroused listening to sexual confessions,

They are expected to be celibate, but they end up molesting male mass servers and married women
because
the profession forces them to be who they really aren't.

Body no be fire wood....ask Bisola. undecided

Just the other day, we saw one preaching with an automatic rifle.

You have a good anatical mind.

As for me, I see nothing wrong with it.
He did not go to a shrine or anything like that. Iit is mostly likely a community celebration and priests are supposed to be part of the communities they live in. Mind you not all masquerades signify idol stuffs

Ordinarily, masquerades are not associated with Christianity, because they come from two different traditions. However, they sometimes meet, as happened in St Paul's Catholic Seminary, Ukpo, Anambra State sometimes ago, causing consternation among some. A Facebook user was perplexed about this phenomenon, and he reacted angrily. He writes,

"This is happening now at ukpor Nnewi they call it St Paul feast..... A Rev father following masquerade choooooiiiii aru emmeee. Please Guys is this right or wrong I know that some blind folks here will start defending them."

You that pray with anointing oil and handkerchiefs, is that not idol worshipping? Those of u that worship money more than your creator, is that not idol worshipping? You aren't different from Catholics and traditional worshippers? No, you aren't different.

lol. Even God had to entertain the presence of satan during the days of job..

Job 1:6 When the day came for the heavenly beings[b] to appear before the Lord, Satan[c] was there among them. 7 The Lord asked him, “What have you been doing?”

Satan answered, “I have been walking here and there, roaming around the earth.”

Am not saying that the priest is god but circumstances may allow them to met and interact in the way that you or I may not understand. Hence Jesus admonished us to give to cesear what is his and to God what is his.
whom you choose to give more to is then your personal decision because you cannot give them both equally at the same time. i.e one cannot serve God and Mormon at the same time but then they can meet to part ways.
My own thoughts though.

Helloooooooo?

If this priest were to be dancing with Santa Claus or Mickey Mouse you would be cool with it.
It's funny how we define this Christianity.
Does being a Christian preclude one from being part of his tradition?
All the statements you made above makes me wonder if you had once been priest.
This is called Acculturation, that is, worshipping God in your own way.

pal, stop encouraging what you don't know. you don't worship God in your own way. you worship God in his own way. Christianity does not celebrate any culture,it is a culture on its own, a heavenly culture of Christ in a man. Every people have their own culture but that culture is not of God but from their ancestors that knew not Christ. But when you are in Christ, Christianity is now your new way of life (culture). that is why the book of Galatians is against observation of days, months in celebration. I pity people that worship God and still hold high the traditions and cultures of their land as to prove they have a great history, these came from ancestral spirits. Yet Igbos are better off in these than other tribes like Yorubas because they are flexible to change.

Backward traditions...
There is nothing like backward tradition, come to our villages and u can see that it is transforming rapidly.
We re getting educated and at the same time embracing our culture.
Cultural display makes life fun fare.
UN have an organ called UNESCO =United nations education, scientific and cultural organizations aimed at promoting and preserving the indigenous culture and traditions of people.
Go to France, UK, Japan, Korea, China, America, india, etc they indulge in different cultural display and festivities .
Stop forming Americana while u re an African.
Preserve ur indigenous language
Preserve ur indigenous culture

so no catholic person can defend his or her faith. well d person who uploaded such pics failed to tell us if weather its a burial ceremony Wich I suppose so. while d dressing of dat priest is nt complete. 3 important dress are missing in dat pics so his like an ordinary man. bible started its clearly dia is no connection BTW darkness and light,nd d priest might be a relative to d dead person,or a family friend. even mbaka dad was a known traditional man yet his only son become a priest.as 4 d person who said catholics are known 4 dia idols worship while na freedom of speech u get.dat priest has every right to go dia Becos a person dat want to spoil catholic image refuse to tell d world wat occasion is going on and who is priest to d dead person mind Angelica priest dress like catholic 2.

This is a clear evidence of how much white people had brainwashed blacks in Africa to the point that they denigrate their cultures.

When a Reverend father celebrates Halloween, this same slowpoke will nod in acceptance. When this same Rev. Fr bows down to a sculpture painted in pink and nailed to a cross, this same mo.ron will bow in obeisance. The sculpture designed by an artist down the street automatically becomes divine when holy water is sprayed on it. But you will disparage a sculpture blessed with a kolanut as fetish because you have been brainwashed to believe so.

It is finished. Africa is psychologically dead!
