See this olodo, look it the first box, it said one number is correct n rightly placed, n it has 6, look at the third box, it said 2 numbers are correct but wrongly placed, it also has 6. Guy u r the dull one here for not having 6, in ur code, even if u are not correct, 6 should be among.
compare 042 nd 062 with d clues, u'd see why 042 is very correct

Pic 1 & 2 makes 6 impossible. Pic 3 confirms 2 and 0. Pic 3 and 5 ensures 0 starts the number counts.

Pic 4 takes off 738. Leaving 1 as the last number in the play.

From pic 1, two must end the count, leaving 1 to occupy the starting position

0 is the first digit 2 being placed correctly in the fist set is the last digit 5 which has been excluded from the list is the second digit.
so the key lock is 052.

COdeGenesis:

FROM the 4th diagram since 7&8 are wrong, so in the 5th diagram only 0 is correct but placed in wrong position, Looking at D 3rd pic, only two numbers are correct we know 0 is correct but based on 5th pic it can't be in position 3 it definitely must occupy position number 1,0xx. We left with two numbers for position 2&3. Looking at the first picture one number is correct and placed rightly, we know the first number is 0 so 6 Is off, so we left with 0x2,looking at 2nd pic, one is correct but wrongly placed, from pix one we know 6 aint correct, so we left with 1&4 for pos 2 I.e 0x2.if 1 is wrongly placed that means it will occupy 1st or 3rd pos which is already occupied by 0&2 so one aint correct, if 4 is wrongly placed it will occupy position one or two and we know position one is occupied by one and position two is vacant, so four is correct and occupies position two. So answer na 042

The logic didn't say only 2 figures are correct.

That is where you got it wrong

It says 2 figures are correct but wrongly placed and not only 2 figures are correct.

The word " only " nullifies your logic because it isn't there.

moscobabs:
Let go there

042 7, 3 and 8 can't make it so we remove them since their statement says nothing is correct.
Among the numbers 6, 8 and 2 one is correct and well placed but with the 6, 1, 4 statement we can tell that 6 isn't the number that's correct and well placed since it maintains its position.
From d 6,8,2 formation it can't also be 8 since we've established that 8 isn't one of the correct numbers
So that leaves 2 as the correct and well placed number
So 2 takes the 3rd spot and that's settled
From d 7,8,0 statement we can see that the next correct number is 0 but its wrongly placed
So now we can use that to deduce that the correct numbers in the 2,0,6 statement are 2 and 0 which means 6 isn't a correct number
And that statement also tells us that 0 is wrongly placed so the only other position for 0 is the first slot
So right now we have 0 - 2
So that leaves us with 1 and 4
But 1 can't be it cos the 6,1,4 statement says one number is correct but wrongly placed
And the only place left is d middle place which 1 occupies in that statement
So it leaves us with 4
Hence 0, 4, 2
