I've been on research lately looking for the perfect ride for me and I narrowed my choices to the cars below.
1. A 2006 bmw 530i
2. A 2007 or 2008 Lexus gs350.
3. A 2009 Acura TL
In terms of reliability, luxury. Maintenance cost and the "Nigerian factor." .
Which of these cars will you recommend for daily commuting and why..

I will take the BMW for ruggedness and that top notch german craftmanship
I will pick the Lexus because it stands out on its own, nah gate of heaven on earth
I will pick the Acura if i intend to stand out, people will continously try to know what model of car am driving, that to me gets the attention of the babes, what is more pleasing than a babe telling you she likes your ride and asking for your number so we can be friends

From reverse, 2009 Acura TL is my first choice followed by the Lexus GS 350. Lexus na pure water. Acura will attract eyes, bring envy and set you among big bois.

The number of BMW's abandoned in BM mechanic shops is alarming. The cost of parts is through the roof. You must be diligent to use the BM.

Interesting points.. It still beats my imagination why the Beemer is not pocket friendly with respect to parts and maintenance..It's still a car I love so much..
The Acura TL is catchy to onlookers I must confess.. How friendly is the car parts and maintenance? How is the fuel economy?
Lexus is nice also but is there anything to watch out for?

You talk with passion.. Lol.. I believe you own this ride too.. Are there good mechanics when things start falling off? Are parts readily available..? Since it requires a premium fuel.., how is the fuel consumption on the average?

The parts are a bit scarce except Lagos, almost 2x Honda Accord price of same year, do not attempt to use Honda Accord parts on it even though it's similar because that's where your problem begins, sensors every where
It's the most economically v6 engine I've used and seen. Concerning the fuel,I've changed its pump&filter ones and I add fuel injector cleaner ones in a while

Thanks for the heads up.. I sincerely appreciate... I'll keep this in my mind if I settle for the TL..

I can only see an Acura TL. OP get the Acura and U will feel happy on the purchase worth it everytime you set your eyes on the beast early in the morning. Its quite touching that its only ladies i see with this ride in my local hood here. I'm always tempted to touch.

It seems the TL seems to be a favorite.. While I understand that you can never get the "complete package" in a car, personally I think the front grille is too bold.... It's still a great ride I must confess..
Everyone look in opposite direction when a Beemer is involved.. Their handling is second to none..
The lexus is a soft ride with good reliability and comfort that trips me..
I just don't want to make the wrong decision..

Take the GS350 and enjoy pure orgasm and ecstacy on wheels.
305bhp 278ib.ft isn't small when mated to an RWD 6sp or even a 5sp AWD.
The Acura TL isn't mate with the GS, it competes with the IS. The GS competes with the RL and 5Series and E class.

Lexus 350. Very very quiet,heated and cool front seats,powerful and quiet efficient for its class with 5.5 inches of ground clearance. You have 303hp and that Mark Levinson sound system. This is a well made car and I'm not saying this because I have Toyota syndrome.

QUite well.

GS is 303hp while TL has 280 for both 3.5L engines while the GS is still a tad better on gas.

Why not compare it the normal is25/350 Now you're bringing the is-f into the equation.

Name the bmw shops so we can go see the abandoned bmws..... I am sure you have never driven any of those cars....coming here to give advice!

OP, I drove gs300 for few months, rare wheel drive, quality is very ok better than the RX series , I'm sure the 350 will be better.

Presently I drive the e60, the exact year you listed. That car is second none and it is the cheapest to maintain in your list.

Check for prices of new parts online and also drive to Oyingbo, Ladipo etc to compare tokunbo parts. Don't be deceived!

Say what you wanna say, driving experience and reliability are 2 different things. Op didnt ask for driving experience, he asked for reliability. Dont assume you know me, fortunately or unfortunately,the 2006 5 series is the only car i have driven among the lot.

The car is rugged and very reliable!
