good day everyone... i have been following this thread for a while now. thanks to hotstepper and every other person that contributes and all.God bless.I need opinions please. i got my canadian visa approved last year april, was planning on going during summer but couldnt cos of ticket fares so i decided to do it around feb or march this year as advised by my friend that works with BA that fares would have gone down a bit.Anyway the gist now is that i found out i was pregnant for my 4th after 9 weeks around september and now decided to use the visa for birthing purposes so i had to join this thread. i got a doctor through my host at calgary, discussed with him(nigerian doc). so i was good to go.alreday Dh and i had contacted a friend's elder sister who accepted to accomodate me since i was coming alone and she gave us the doc's contact. i left naija jan 21st through BA, arrived london to now check in to calgary and i was informed my visa has been revoked by canadian govt.I didnt believe it. so i went to my profile and saw they sent a mail asking me to come for an interview on the 20th of dec and was given only one week to appear but honestly i didnt see it and that same period i was in uk with my family on christmas vacation. I contacted them and they said i misrepresented during my visa application. my friend's fiance that lives in canada was of the opinion that someone must have contacted them that i wanted to use the visa for birthing purposes. now no one knew i was travelling to canada, not even my siblings or hubbys people.the only person that knew was the lady i was to stay with,my kids, my hubby and myself! when we called her to ask her if she contacted the authorites her answers were not adding up and she started avoiding us. now i wrote to canadian embassy asking why they revoked my visa, they have asked me to come for another interview in lag. i am heavy, i stay at abuja and havent decided yet.thats my story oh and i have learnt 1 Like |

ur story is not adding up either. how come you didny know ur visa has expired? If you visa was still valid, why did they invite u for another interview i personally dont think the lady has anything to gain, afterall she would still refuse u staying in her house Amiableada: |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by DereI(f): 2:55pm On Feb 22, 2017 |
Hotstepper: Calm down n read before commenting. She said it was revoked not expired. Also remember that if you dont check your emails frequently, you will never see the notification for new mail in your cic profile. @Amiableada, i really feel sad for you. Just toughen up and go for the invite. 1 Like |

Hotstepper:please i didnt state that my visa has expired. i was issued a visa april 2016 to expire 2020 which was my very first canadian visa . so i dont know where the talk of expired visa came out from now. the visa was revoked dec 28th 2016 after they had invited me to come for an interview on the 20th dec which i didnt see.they sent it to my profile but i didnt see it. i have all the details of the mails they sent and can post them here. i think they called me for the interview after they were informed i wanted to use the visa for somethin else probably they wanted to confirm the 'tip off' . and again whybwould they issue a visa, and call me back to come for an interview when i havent even used the visa for once? 1 Like 1 Share |

Wow..... its obvious something went wrong somewhere. But even if it was ur host that informed them, just ignore. I kno its not easy but try and calm down. Go for d interview and hear what they av to say. If u r pardoned God be praised and if not accept it like that and av ur baby in naija. One thing i realise about many Nigerians abroad is that we over here av more info than them. But some will ask further for more explanation while some will do oversabi and end up causing problem for d person. Some font believe one can actually apply for visa and declare purpose as childbirth while some will say hide the pregnancy to enter because they think if one declares, its automatic deportation etc I pray all will be well and let Gods will be done. Cheers [quote author=Amiableada post=53952267]good day everyone... i have was pregnant for my 4th after 9 weeks around 1 Like |

Hi Amiableada First thing is please try not to get worried especially with your current stage of pregnancy. Second thing is just as Nita said; some hosts (assuming the host caused this issue) might have done oversabi while trying to get more information and not necessarily with the intention to hurt you. Thirdly, can you ask them to change the venue of your interview to Abuja as you might not be able to fly to Lagos due to your present health condition (most domestic airlines are horrendous about fit-to-fly policies for pregnant women) or just reschedule to a more convenient time. Forthly - try to attend the interview and present evidence that you were not pregnant when the visa was issued, you saw on their website that it is not a crime to have your baby in Canada (the link is somewhere in this thread) and most importantly - your financial statements showing evidence that you have the capacity to pay for your treatment. please go with an open mind, i hope you get your visa re-instated but above all...May GOD'S will be done for you and your baby.Amen =Amiableada post=53952267]good day everyone... i have been following this thread for a while now. thanks to hotstepper and every other person that contributes and all.God bless.I need opinions please. Amiableada: Hello there, In your application, you are normally asked to fill in your travel dates; if your travels dates indicated that you would be travelling during the summer then the embassy would become suspicious when you don't as seen by absence at port of arrival; this could be the possible reason they said you misrepresented information hence revoking of your visa and asking you to appear for another interview in December; that way things can be clarified. |

1. Applied for US Visa in 2014...you said you are married to Mr A 2. Applied for Canadian visa, and you said you are married to Mr B 3. You won't have to be worried, if you were consistent with your marital status. If you can defend the inconsistency, then you have nothing to be worried about. 4. Yes they share information, expect an email from the Canadian embassy, all the best in your defence of the different marital status. 5. If your response to the Canadian email isn't satisfactory, your US Visa might be revoked too. kokorita: |
