At what point did she insult you that you have to insult her now? You can make your point without being rude or insulting.

Hmmnnn... We are adults so let's be careful how we write.

Fizzywah:
You highlighted my comments but ignored the word sometimes. Which means if they have any doubt whatsoever, for clarity sake you may be called for an interview. Nowhere did I say that going for an interview means you will be denied. It's like some of you just wait for the perfect opportunity to bash someone here without reading properly.

I have been a part of this thread from part 1 and this will be our second delivery. Your comments seem naive and hastily typed. Should have read and understood me well.

Hello house.

With what I have read today on this thread of denials at Abuja, I am scared to reapply.

So I have a meeting to attend with my boss first week in April in America (that is if I get the visa or I will have to chose someone else in my team to attend)

My options are to reapply for vacation or reapply based on the meeting(as suggested by my boss as they will be sponsoring my trip in April since it is official).

My questions are;
1. should I reapply and say purpose of trip is for meeting but that I will still go on vacation later in the year or just reapply for vacation.
2. should I apply in Lagos this time since my last denial was in Abuja.

Please experts in the house help me answer these questions.

U have spoken well, because a lot of people didnt spend that much and still renew their Visa. Moreover the discount of 8000usd is too much even in our lay man's eyes and u made a very big mistake by giving her the money to pay for u without following her and making sure she paid everything. If she is sincere, why didn't she take u along while paying the money and buying those gifts. As a naija lady,u suppose to know that whenever someone tells u to hand over your money to him/her to be paying for u on your behalf while u are there, that something is fishing. U should have shine your eye well well, because all these visa denials u are going through now is not her business. God will still restore your visa for U & u should be careful next time and learn to do your things by yourself.
Amen! I have decided to have my baby in Nigeria and apply for a visiting Visa later, so many regrets in my head sha, I should have asked more questions, I would ve refused the offer from day one, I was only being careful with my inlaws. The experience in her house is story for another day. My husband wants us to sue her or call family meeting for her to refund the money, but that won't give me the visa, so I told him to leave her to God.

Hmmm!!!
How can one pay so much for birthing only to be denied visa renewal, when you paid all your bills.
That's crazy mahn.
But ehn, this shouldn't come up in Lagos abeg oh. My visa expires in a month ohhhh, I can't speak *phoneh* undecided

with my little knowledge, it is none of the VO's concern if you later travel after using the visa for the purpose of the application(the official meeting) so i believe you do not need to worry yourself over that- Question 1
the OGAs in the house can help on Q2

Good Day

I think I should help. I am due to give birth in May. Leaving in April.hospital is Houston North West Medical Centre and it cost 2000$ for VD. Doctor is Nicholas Xydas - 2000 USD. Was told lab test was inclusive of the bill but I don't believe. So just make provision for extra cash in case. Then Paediatricians bills is about 400USD but I am using another paediatrician from outside-200$, hearing test- 150$.
So its approximately 5000$
Hope this helps.

Did you buy your ticket yet? What airline are you using? How much? Due in Mayas well, to travel April

I am yet to buy my ticket ooh... its damn too expensive. I will get it next week sha. I should go with Qatar air as that seems the cheapest at about 418k as at yesterday for my travel dates. Still hoping for a miracle.

I would advice you reapply and say you are going for a meeting and go with evidence to support this eg invitation letter for the meeting etc. The important thing here is that you use the visa for that meeting, any other purpose you decide to use it for after that is left to you.
For your own peace of mind you can try lagos

Yea it's very expensive. To think that 2 years ago this was price for 3 adults. Chai.
What are your dates?

Hi everyone, I intend taking delta airline to Dallas and we would have a stop over in Atlanta before heading to Dallas. Please I would like to know if Atlanta would be the point of entry or Dallas so as to decide how many hours stop over I should select at Atlanta. Thank you.

Atlanta will be your POE. In fact they will likely put you in another aircraft going to Dallas after you have crossed your POE in Atlanta.

Hello. I am of the opinion that correspondence is a print out of mails exchanged between you and the doctor or hospital.I will give you the contact of the pediatrician tomorrow. Pm me for Dr xylas' contact

Justwise, just renewed visa and stated we are going for vacation at my sister's in NC, but apparently madam is meant to go for childbirth in Houston. is it possible i notify the embassy down the embassy of change in plans. visa is regular B1/B2. as we want to pay for the medical bills before she leaves. You know immigration can be funny at their airport over there.

this is probably a large part of why the change of intent letters are no longer recognized. How much more difficult would it have been to simply indicate that you would also intend to go for childbirth while renewing your visa?

How affordable is this Henrico btw? Make I know if I should port lol

There is no opportunity to appeal a US VO's decision... as they've always noted, obtaining a US visa is not a right.

The tin just tire me o,two pregnant women were denied in front of me yesterday.A lady that had her zero balance was also denied ,she told the consular that she was going on vacation for 2 weeks n ended up using the visa to have her baby n spent 3 months. It is well

Abuse of a visa... that is quite easy.

Your aunt swindled you. This is not Nigeria where you "buy gifts" to get a discount.

Hi Temmyo, sorry to disturb you again. Please how did you go about baby's birth cert, how many days it took and baby's American passport? Thank you!

I got the north certificate from the vitals office in downtown Dallas. Initially went to the records office in Carrolton (I had my baby in carrolton so that's where the hospital said I should go pick up) but because I wanted the long form certificate I was directed to downtown Dallas. Paid and picked up within 30 mins. This was a week after baby was born.

For american passport I called to book an appointment with the Irving main post office. They gave me a time to come the next day. Printed the form from the internet and filled it. Got all supporting docs. Went the next day. Took baby's passport photo there. Submitted the documents and made payments. Passport was mailed to me in exactly 10 days.

I know she did, Infact I suspected her from day one when she started asking for the money, if she was sincere she ll simply direct me to where I will make payments. She is an elderly woman of abt 65 and my hubby's aunt, I was being careful with her.
