It's in the interest of peace in Nigeria that he should remain even if figuratively until a new election is called.

Unfortunately, the constitution does not give a timeline on how long a sitting President can be away.

So why did Buhari call for Yar'Adua to resign after being AWOL for 90 days?

Because he was power hungry and grossly desperate at the time. Karma, they say, is no man's friend.

Mr President should resign now and hand over command of the armed forces to Professor Osinbajo. It is obvious Buhari does not have the gas to drive this nation. He has been in hospitals more than he has been at Aso Villa moving this nation forward. We appreciate his intentions for Nigeria but he does not have to die on the "throne" to be a hero. He already is a Nigerian hero. #BuhariResignNow

What kind of a country is this? Everyone can't be stupid at same time. Good, he went to mosque, where? And no one saw him? There is no point complaining, this country is a finished business.

Nigeria is such a fake country. A whole head of state will be absent from the country he is supposed to be doing and people are just fine with it. This country is pathetic.

No wonder the country is regressing while others are progressing.

I'm not sure he would even have the strength to rule. He is old. The best there is, would be to rest from the hassle. It is not just about the government now but about the conspiracy theories about the Northerners not wanting to hand over to the South West, in the person of Osinbajo, just like they did with UMYA/Jonathan.

That is why they are busy organising prayers up and down.

Let them tell us the truth . This man might be sicker than imagined . If he's allowed to continue to rule, we won't know the impact on his policies. He might have a chance of complete recovery if he hands over.

This government is a scam

This is low minded, local thinking. There was a gentleman in the US called FDR. Rich woman pikin, lawyer, business man and became President. He had polio , could not walk and was also I'll. He led the US during the second world war and is now ranked no. 1 or 2 amongst the best US presidents.

Everything that the world became immediately after the second world war was done under FDR's leadership and guided by his vision including independence for all of British colonies. He forced the US and France to do this because the US had the Economic power.

Most country leaders develop health issues. It often does not affect their effectiveness if they have good lieutenants.

I think during the next election process, candidates should undergo full medical checkups by independent and government medical establishments.

This is an embarrassment to Nigeria really?

Why wouldn't the president come out to tell Nigerians what is ailing him?

The cabal must be the one pushing him.

They'll ride him to his grave if necessary just as long as he doesn't give up power to his Vice.

Those people in the cabal are enemies of state. They are guilty of treason and they should be shot.
