The leadership crisis rocking the Assemblies of God Church came to an end on Friday. This is as the Supreme Court in a unanimous judgement by four Justices, resolved all the issues in favour of the General Council of the Church.

‎With this judgement, Rev. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor has now been confirmed as the authentic General Superintendent of the Church.

DAILY POST recalls that the Church had for some years now been enmeshed in a serious leadership crisis, which culminated into dividing the Church into two groups.

‎Following the suspension of Rev. Paul Emeka by the General Council, he had approached an Enugu State High Court where he got a favourable judgement.
The General Council proceeded to the Appeal Court where the judgement of the lower court was upturned.

Emeka later headed to the Supreme Court insisting that his fundamental rights were trampled upon.

But in a judgement by Justice Paul Adamu Galinje, Justice Ejembi Eko, Justice Kudirat Motonmori Olatokunbo Kekere Ekun, and Justice Clara Ogunbiyi, they held that the issue of fundamental human rights as raised by Emeka does not hold waters in the case.


Court ruled that fundamental right enforcement could not fly over the Assemblies of God leadership.

Imagine pastors who ought to advise members to avoid trouble that may lead to court cases, are now the ones taking themselves to court......And am sure they will be saying they were ordained by God. Yet God is no author of confusion. Sincerely some pastors are not even fit to be Native priest, not to talk of pastors

I think in one of chidi okoroator's talks he preached against worldly court settling cases for churches. Hmmmm

Anybody believing this lies is one step close deformity. The apex court asked that the high court should reserve Chidi okorafor and his group since they claimed that they weren't served. The next is to flood the whole media with lies. The whole world is waiting to see Chidi take over the secetrate since he won the case, God help him if he don't show up as the GS.

Shameful! For this 'learned' men of the scriptures to have allowed the leadership of the church degenerate to an unwholesome level speaks volume of the state of the church today.
Christ mentioned the possibility of not meeting faith when he returns. These are truly end times.
