Hello

Please if a school has offered to waive the English test score requirement for me....

Do I still need to write it for visa purposes?

Why don't you think before asking invalid questions? If I say I have Naira in my bank account now, why do I need to do any conversion or send money home? I have money at home! I can simply send Naira to whoever from my Naira account.
Naira is now soft earned and Dollar hard earned. Smh.

What sentence up denotes that I'm blaming anyone? I said we should not be excited about the falling Naira. Of course I also work my ass off to send Dollars home. Do you think I don't work here and send money home as well?
Let my post be a fairy tale...and ignore it if you're not interested.

Use your brain wisely.....Back to my question, read it again, but do it slowly this time.

See this one...kettle calling pot black. Don't worry, your extra hard earned Dollar would become N1000 soon eh, then you ask those still in Nigeria that want to pay sevis fee of $200 to send you N200,000. As if by your own effort or power, you increased the value of the Dollar you earn. Are you working much harder this year than you did last year? Your Dollar has appreciated in value in Nigeria by your effort abi!...by your working hard...

If you go through your ETS account it was stated how many days it will take to get to them..

It will take approximately 7 days or less than 7 days to get there.

teepee4Him:

You can give them 3 biz days (I think it took that long then for my school to reflect the change)

Thanks. I checked the application portal now and it shows that GRE has been received

Hello Sir,
Am quite new on this thread and av been reading and trying to catch up on all information .I sincerely need your advise and other gurus too(permit me,I dont even know how to send a pm yet or tag people on the thread appropriately)

I have recently applied to ucm for an ms program.Though the fee is quite cheap compared to every other universities have checked. My problem is

1)The school waived toefl and gre, reasons being that the course does not require gre for admission and i have a cool cgpa(3.92/5) though am still waiting for wes evaluation.Am really worried,if this would not be an issue during my interview as I have not written a standardised test .
2)About my sponsorship- I intend using a sponsor, who has a six figure dollar amount in his account,he's currently based in the us and has lived for 45yrs over there. He is my maternal uncle..but we av diffrent surname as expected. Is there a chance for this scenerio at all to work out.
3)Am also concerned abt getting a GA,I think i believe i will get the admission with faith, but i do not know when its the right time to speak to the program cordinator on this.Cos,without getting a form of assistanship,haaa...it will be a great one for me(being positive). And am also worried that,if am able to present
A bank statement of abt $100,000 from my sponsor, wont the school believe that i can fund my education and will not need to be considered for a GA.

Gurus, please let me know your take on this sulituation.

If you really want funding, I'll advise you take the GRE and apply to a ranked school. GRE would also give you a hand during the visa interview. Have you ever thought of what your answer would be if the VO unexpectedly ask if you take any standardized test?

I am currently at UCM. Per your questions,
1. Yes, UCM is pretty affordable at around $5k per Semester.
2. Your chances for a GA are quite slim (not impossible though)
3. A bank account of $15 - 20k should be fine.
4. If you can, I would strongly advise you to write the standardized tests and still look around for schools with more possibilities for a GA (not necessarily for visa purposes since you can get your visa without writing any test.)
