bazooka1:Not only that, City had a £36m pound bid rejected by Monaco last year. Wenger and Zizou are massive fans of the guy. |

Mbappe might end up to be average but if they spend $40 M on him, they will play him. That kind of investment will be played. |

TheGoodJoe:Please make it clear to me why he will be benched at City. How did you arrive at this conclusion when you haven't watched him play. You're such a wonderful man |

goldfish80: Go to YouTube and watch Aguero's independiente clips. You can easily see what he was like. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:41pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
goldfish80: I already stated it clearly. Go few comments back. |

TheGoodJoe:You want to turn this to Mbappe vs Kelechi debate. I won't be lured to that argument. I responded to your post about Mbappe not making the Man city team. You're the one bringing Kelechi into this. Is Kelechi the only man city player? 1 Like |

tbaba1234: We spent about that on Leroy Sane and he sat on the bench for a long time. PSG spent huge on Lucas Moura And Pastore but have no problem leaving them out of games. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:49pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
goldfish80: I did not bring in Iheanacho. You must not comment if you are not following the discussion. The thread tended towards Mbappe being better than Iheanacho because Iheanacho was not a regular at City and I replied If Mbappe came to City, he will bench. My point has not changed. You just did not understand what you were arguing. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by goldfish80(m): 10:50pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:Why was he on the reserves at the WYC in 2005 if he was that good? Meanwhile Mbappe is making headlines at just 17. I guess most people here are being apprehensive about the lad because he's Camerounian. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by goldfish80(m): 10:53pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:Even at that, how were you so sure he is not better than Kelechi since you haven't watched him play? Is it possible to make an objective analysis on two players and draw conclusions when you haven't watched them both play? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:53pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
goldfish80: Argentina over the years have produced top quality hitmen. It has always been tough to play regularly for Argentina despite being brilliant. Ask Pastore. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 10:55pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe: We are not talking about ur club. This is the Super Eagles the senior national team of Nigeria. We have serious business to take care of we are not trying to plan for the future we want to win right now and go to Russia. We need the best players no sentiments. Just like u were against old Yaya and now he is saving ur butt. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by edi287: 10:55pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
BascoVanVeli:Iwobi is worth max 30m(that's even being generous). No way on this planet is he going for 40-50m. He no longer has the "English premium" on his head since he chose to play for us. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:56pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
goldfish80: It is you comparing him and Kelechi. I made my point crystal clear. You can not say a player is better than theother bbecause of playing time. I also made a clear statement that judge Iheanacho's development after he has a run of games. So this your jamb question is off tangent. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:57pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
edi287: Iwobi has the English Premium because he is home grown. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 10:58pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
BascoVanVeli: We are planning for the future. That was one of the reasons we hired a coach who has a history of developing young players. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:00pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
BascoVanVeli: I was against Old Yaya because he was not controlling the midfield and not doing his defensive bits. He is an improved player since his return but he is no way in our future plans. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by goldfish80(m): 11:00pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:My jamb question is legit. I can't figure how you knew Kelechi was better when you haven't seen Mbappe play. Am compelled to belive you may not even recognise Mbappe if you saw his picture as we speak. 1 Like |

goldfish80: Your Jamb question is off target because you can not even understand the term, JUDGE IHEANACHO AFTER HE HAS A RUN OF GAMES. How that sounds like Iheanacho is better than Mbappe beats my imagination. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by bazooka1: 11:06pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe: He was a super regular and Manchester Uniteds most consistent player last seaon. Mourinho didn't take to him because he wants his team to play in a certain way and Martial does not fit into his idea. If mourinho was the manager who bought him, he would never sit him on the bench. |

BascoVanVeli:You are obviously mistaking me for someone. You came into this discussion when you quoted me claiming Nigeria has a 50M player in Iwobi. Don't tell me you can't recall what just happened a few hours ago. 1 Like |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:14pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
Because of the whole Mbappe noise, I took the trouble to watch a clip of him and I wonder what the noise is about. He is not as good as a Young Djibril Cisse, Anelka or Benzema. People should cool down with the Messi comparison. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:14pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
BascoVanVeli: Not in our future plans. Same for Martins. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by goldfish80(m): 11:17pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:What does Iheanacho and getting a run of games got to do with Mbappe being benched at City? I told you I don't want to be drawn with Mbappe vs Kelechi debate. I can't even keep up with the way you keep switching topics. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 11:18pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe: What I am asking u is to not discriminate on people based on age. If a man is good enough who cares what it says on his birth certificate. Instead of embracing greatness we find ways to send them away. Buffon is still kicking and so are many other older stars out there. U can't win without the right experience. When u look at Germany, Spain and Italy the past 3 wc winners they all had older players on those teams. |

TheGoodJoe: House, you see what I've been saying? TheGoodJoe just watched his clip for the first time a few minutes ago and yet he's been arguing that he won't make city bench for the past few hours. Seriously, you're one of a kind. 1 Like |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:22pm On Feb 25, 2017 |
goldfish80: I am not begging you. You are the one trying to pretend as if you knew the argument before jumping in. You did not. That is why you are spending time asking a lot of questions. The talk had to do with Iheanacho slowing down under City and Mbappe growing. I said someone can not say Mbappe is better and Iheanacho is deteriorating. After Iheanacho gets a run of games, judge him. |
