House, you see what I've been saying? TheGoodJoe just watched his clip for the first time a few minutes ago and yet he's been arguing that he won't make city bench for the past few hours.
Seriously, you're one of a kind.

House will not come to your rescue. I watched the highlight game of the Manchester City vs Monaco game. Watched the extended highlights repeatedly and was not blown away by Mbappe.

Then I started hearing people comparing him to Messi. I went to check and felt shocked.

Please, how can you say that guy will even start at City. You can be funny.

You are obviously mistaking me for someone. You came into this discussion when you quoted me claiming Nigeria has a 50M player in Iwobi.
Don't tell me you can't recall what just happened a few hours ago.
goldfish80:

Nice read. Interesting to know Guardiola wanted him for 40M and Zidane took him on tour guide at the Bernabue in 2013 when he was barely 16yrs old.
According to the article Monaco are quoting €80M for him ;0 .. Football have indeed gone mad!
It's absolutely bunkers money for a young 19yr old.

TheGoodJoe is about making us believe he will be benched at City. Probably he thinks Kelechi will bench him. Nawao.

I guess u forgot?

Just finished watching the Watford and West Ham game.

I was particularly focused on Isaac Promise, he has been widely mentioned as a solution to our quest for a quality striker.

That's the first game I have watched him and focused entirely on him. From this game I watched, I would say he is non starter. He is only 21 as is stated, he comes on in the 80th minute and plays 15 minutes or thereabouts. He should be full of energy leading the front line. Instead he is lethargic, slow and unable to impose himself on the game. He looks over weight very limited pace, infact he is too slow his touch isn't great and misses a sitter. He is far from athletic. I would have Obagoal over him morning, night and day.

I would recommend if we have no other options, we look for the best striker we can get in the Nigerian local league than this guy. He is simply not good enough.

he is jst returning from injury, don't expect him to b sharp, further more, the coach play a style of game NT suited to him, wich Ws y IGHALO Ws finding the net hard to come

What I have noticed is that a lot of people have not watched lots prolific young talents. That is why you can see them make ridiculous statement like Mbappe being hottest property.

Someone like me watched Ronaldinho from U17. De Lima in his teens. Anelka at Seventeen. Just like I pointed out Aguero. Even Tevez. I watched these guys grow. Chill and let us hope the young man works hard and remain a disciplined professional.

Not in our future plans. Same for Martins.

Mehn forget the future we are trying to go to Russia, we have missed 2 afcons no time for sentiments we want people who can get the job done.

I understand the point but I do not see Martins as a solution. We started threading a path I believe is right. Building a team with young players and promoting competition for roles.

If Martins was even 29, I can okay it but with our number of young hitmen, I absolutely feel going that route is wrong.

Pls how can you call him the hottest teen sensation in the world, with all the hype Gabriel Jesus didn't worth a 50m neymar did not worth 80m eithet, neither did pogba worth a 50m when he was 18
Because just last year, City had a £36m bid rejected. This season, he has scored 12 goals in 29 games despite not starting most of the time. Scoring against City added a couple of millions to his price tag. Dude is just 18!!

Here's what brought you into the discuss.

I made reference to Kelechi in response to TheGoodJoe claims that Mbappe won't make the city team. Obviously he had Iheanacho at the back of his mind when he made the statement.

You had in mind I was saying it to claim Iheanacho is better. Unfortunately, you are clearly exposed. I was clearly saying judge Iheanacho after a run of games. I did not say Iheanacho was better.

If he can't start at City why did Lord Guardiola make a bid of €40M which was rejected.
I know Guardiola is not all that good with transfers but spending €40M on a player who is not good enough for his team is quite a new low for him.

I think we spent £37 million on Sane but he was on the bench for a long time. It took Sane IMPROVING to get into the starting eleven.

What is your next jamb question. Just agree you did not know what you were arguing.

Iwobi is worth max 30m(that's even being generous). No way on this planet is he going for 40-50m. He no longer has the "English premium" on his head since he chose to play for us.

What premium are u talking about? The only fact is that u need a certain amount of English passport holders on each squad and if that player can play a big role it makes him more valuable. Iwobi has more potential than most young players in England. He can play anywhere in the midfield and he can also play in front. We all know Wenger knows how to sell so I don't see Iwobi leaving for cheap. I guess u guys need someone on tv to tell u this.

Next time when reading, judge a comment by what you are reading. Not what you expect.

I said, judge Iheanacho after a run of games. That is no way close to saying Iheanacho is better. Case dismiss.

You do not even have a reason why you think Mbappe will start at City. You just wanted to argue.

This was my post on January 3rd. I remember talking about Mbappe some time last year but I can't pull out the post now. Its not about me going with the flow or rave of the moment.I was the first person to mentioned the name Mbappe on this site.
I think I've finally figured out why people are judgmental about Iheanacho's game.
In my opinion, I think the coaches at Man city have concentrated so much on kelechi's shooting and finishing abilities, this have left the play making ability underdeveloped.
It's no coincidence that he has excellent goal to game ratio. He is basically trained as a goal machine.
This have made people notice Iheanacho only when he scores. Because frankly he offers little in games where he doesn't bang one in.
Maybe with the arrival of Jesus, city can concentrate and train him to become the goal scoring machine, whole Iheanacho is left to develop other parts of his game which is his play making abilities. The idea of Man city coaching play making out of kelechi I feel will leave us wondering "what would have been" when he's in the twilight if his career just like Mikel.
When I watch young players like Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele tearing it up their various clubs, one can't help but be jealous as a Nigerian.
While man utd and man city fans argue over kelechi and Rushford, Dembele and Mbappe are posting ridiculous performances.
Especially Ousmane Dembele, is absolutely a joke, still only 19 but his level of productivity is crazy.
I feel Iheanacho should up his game and productivity level beyond just scoring. I want people to appreciate his game even when he doesn't score. I believe that could be the POV of Michael Owen.https://www.nairaland.com/3018619/new-super-eagles-thread-russia/426

I've watched the young man Mbappe and he's deliciously talented and going by his muted transfer fee, Man city cannot afford to bench him.

What a funny world. Someone who know absolutely nothing about a player is claiming the same player is not good enough. At the top of your head without checking, you can't even tell his Jersey number at Monaco and you're forming ITK.
Instead you will humbly ask after the said player, his abilities and what he can bring to a team rather you're posing as being informed when you're not.

STOP running in circles. Answer the simple question. How did you even nuture the idea that Mbappe will start regularly for City? At least you have his number in your head.

He's obviously more talented than anyone I've seen at City. Including Aguero who is no where close to his abilities at the same age.
Coupled with the small fact of his huge transfer fee. Its not so difficult to figure out he wouldn't sit on the Man city bench.

At this point, Onyekuru must be Nigeria's hottest youngster in Europe. Thankfully, he did not go to Celtic. If he continues his form, he will get a bigger deal in the Summer.

He's not going to leave for cheap, but he isn't getting sold for 50m. That's Wilshere money. Unless you're talking 2 -3 seasons from now. I know the English transfer Market is crazy, but it's not this crazy.
