omohayek: We all know that running a budget of 70% recurrent expenditure is unsustainable. No country grows like that. A general economic boom should be our aim, to ease more people into the private sector. How long can we be borrowing to fund socialist employment schemes? 24/7 electricity is our best bet. Even 20/7 will be good enough. I enjoyed constant 18/7 under GEJ, yet we complained. Let energetic & success hungry young people innovate. And sound economic policies. Let us become a tech hub, IT & such services. Give incentives to foreign investors. Create special tech zones, Lagos/Ogun, Eastern zone, SS zone, Northern zone......be it Uyo/Calabar, Ikeja/Otta, Kaduna, Nnewi.....strategically. Curb inflation. Be steady. Don't rush into new policies just for short term gain. Carry our Aba made shoes, peanuts, rice & samples of anything we produce. Go to countries and canvass for market for our goods. Do it with passion. Fight for market share for us abroad. That should be the focus of govt & ministers. Sitting around FEC table every Wednesday rubber stamping things won't bring anything. All these adhoc moves seem aimed at placating the public. 4 Likes |

menwongo:Im not in the habit if engaging trolls in arguments. Ask why the affected individuals have payment issue rather than condemning the whole program. I blv you are one of those nigeria graduates who passed through school but did not allow school go through them. What do you expect when a graduate does not know his or her bank details. 1 Like |

N-Power is laudable programme which I think will touch many lives if proper training is given to its beneficiaries and not just only monthly stipend. Most especially N-Agro has alot of potentials if the beneficiaries are allowed to choose their own areas of interest in agriculture such as farming, poultry, livestocks, forestry etc with solid vocational and financial supports. It's advisable therefore that the time limit of the programme should be set off so that it could outlive Buhari administration and again if its merit status of selection process is maintained I believe the army of unemployed youths who have nobody in highly placed position in government to influence their placements will be gainfully employed without having to pay through their noses.N-power is not a charade,it's a reality but sound training is needed to make it achieve its aims and objectives. Plenty money can finish where knowledge is lacking but where knowledge abound and it's applied, money abound. For once I can say Buhari thank you for this one. 1 Like |
