Pls answer these few questions

1) What year was an international airport both for passengers and cargoes established in SE.?

2) What year do you think an inland port capable of anchoring ships will be constructed in Igboland.?

3) What percentage of our natural resources do we have control over.?

4) All imported goods we use, are imported through Lagos despite our access to the sea. Is there a relationship between this and the high cost of imported goods in the East due to transport cost, police road blocks, bad roads etc?

5) Our states can't dredge River Niger, is it because

A) It is not legal for them or
B) They don't have the money or
C) They don't have the will or
D) What

A people who can't build their own international air and sea ports and have to import through Lagos, how do you expect the East to achieve economic development.

A people who don't have absolute control over their resources and lives, how do you expect them to

1) build economic infrastructures that will get them out of poverty.?

2) establish security structures that will protect lives and properties from Fulani herdsmen armed robbers kidnappers etc in order to ensure social economic development.?

Until all Pro Nigerian Igbos answer these questions, their stand against Biafra will remain futile and absolutely defeated in a UN supervised Referendum. kiss

Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has admonished the people of the South East geopolitical zone to remain in Nigeria because it is “highly unfavourable” to be an independent state.

Precisely why the South West should be the main proponents to leave Nigeria. Given the fact that Lagos alone would have the 5th largest GDP in all of Africa if it were a country, and is on the way to being top 3 GDP in Africa (behind SA and Egypt) by 2020, I really don't know why Yorubas are even promoting this one Nigeria. If South East thinks they'll be better off out of Nigeria, I'm right there with them.

....Lagos State will not be the same if this country breaks,..trust me on that...The patronage enjoyed from having Murtala International Airport and the sea-port wil fizzle out over time...These are some of the main infrastrucure that attracts people and in turn encourages the growth of business..

.. Smart Yorubas know this, thats why they are not talking about secession as such..

And why would it fizzle out over time? Especially when the airport renovation is taking place, and the free trade zone in lekki, lagos is going up, and Eko Atlantic is already underway. Not to mention the 4th mainland bridge, and the leadership of Governor Ambode revitalizing mass transit. If there's any supreme destination in all of west Africa at this point in time, its in the south west. That is just a fact. Anyone who is honest with themselves know this.

...It would fizzle out because Igbos will have their own country,Sea-portt,Airport and all to contend with and build...and will certainly stop using Lagos airport and sea-port..same with Niger-Delta republic cos these will now be sovereign countries. The fact that Nigeria/Lagos is what it is ,is because we are stll stuck together....period.

Lol! The Afonja is probably expecting Ghanaians to leave Accra international airport and start patronizing MMIA, or maybe the Beniniose will leave theirs, haha!

Oh! Wait, he expects Niger delta republic not to have their own standard international airport, or Biafra not to have their? Lol!

We will all continue patronizing MMIA because we are fools! LWKM!

The truth is that not all Israeli supported the establishment of independent state of Israel. Some opposed it.

When the time comes, Ifeanyi Uba will only have one vote.
And if and when the Majority of us vote for self determination, Uba can relocate his Business to Arewa-oduanistan and continue his business there, since he doesn't believe Biafra can become a successful country. Not all Jews are in Israel, many are still in Russia, Germany, USA, Poland, etc and they are doing well individually, just as those who resorted to stay in Israel are doing well.

No one needs his selfishness driven sermon.

Second, industrialisation is key to whatever the
South East intends to achieve and stand for. We
saw BRIC+S countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China
+South Africa) attain their projected economic
giant status at the end of 20th Century. Today, all
eyes are on the new projected MINT Countries
(Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey).

Is this man comparing SE with independent countries with full control of their political and economic destinies?

Well Mr Uba, wait till we get Biafra, then we can do the comparison.

“MINT is projected to emerge as the new global
economic giants in this 21st Century after the
emergence of BRIC+S and there is absolutely no
doubt in my mind that the South East needs to be
to Nigeria what Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou
are to China before thinking of separation from
Nigeria,” he said.

Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou are cities populated by people of the same ethnic stock, Nigeria is a multiethnic poohole where it's all dog fight amongst all groups.

In Igbo nation, Onitsha, Enugu, Aba will become the Chinese equivalents of Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou respectively, they will be Igbo mega cities populated by people of the same stock with equal playing ground for all encouraging healthy competitive developmental rivalry.

it has been proven that if you want to be politically dead in anambra state just declare for apc
at least ngige and uche ekwunife are living testimonies grin
ngige was once a street anthem in anambra state but today ngige is politically dead here in anambra state except few sycophants within his hometown.
what of iyom? (ekwunife) hmmmm that one once a tough politician and strong candidate now a political jobber in apc grin
today ifeanyi uba has killed his newly baby political ambitions by going against what we believe and our hope

So whats stopping igbos from going and developing their own seaport now, especially since its closer to that location? I'm willing to bet with the economic development coming, it will take years before the south east develops its own seaport that can take lagos' business. And that's only if southwest leadership sits on its butt. As we've seen in the last few years, that's just not happening. The man on a mission, Governor Ambode, has already stated that Lagos as the 5th largest economy in Africa isn't enough, he's vying for 3rd. People forget that Lagos alone is Africa's fastest growing economy. Lagos, and with Ambode's leadership, is carrying Nigeria. Thank god he's a competent governor, because if you remove Lagos from the equation Nigeria falls drastically in the economy list. There is nothing that the south west needs from Nigeria at this point. If we leave, we will be perfectly fine and self sufficient, without oil.

"Lagos has a rich history of economic growth and transformation. Although it covers only 0.4th of Nigeria’s territorial land mass, making it the smallest state in the country, it accounts for over 60% of industrial and commercial activities in the nation. Lagos is financially viable, generating over 75% of its revenues independent of federal grants derived from oil revenues. It generates the highest internal revenue of all states in Nigeria."

The seaport in Lagos was developed by FG

The creation of international seaports and airports is the exclusive job of the FG

No state can embark on such project without FG approval.

So stop using Lagos to boast after all Ogun state has boundary with the Atlantic ocean if I am correct and has not built a single seaport

...Were you the ones that developed Lagos state..Were you the ones that built the Apapa Port,Murtala International Airport,Third Mainland brigde and so forth?? No!.

...The federal Givernment did...So dont come here making hollow noises abeg. The Igbos will not leave Lagos because Yorubas said so...They will leave when the country breaks which is something i do not mind happening as soon as possible to be honest.

...Even if takes SE one million years to develop, they will eventually do so..Fear mongering does not cut it at all...

...I repeat SEs will not depend on Murtala Internatiinal Aiport for their international travels,Lagos Seaport for their import and export and so on when this country breaks..They will up grade and develop their own like every other country on earth...The Niger-Delta republic will have theirs too..This will drastically reduce the population and business viability of Lagos and redirect it to other areas over time

..We are aware of the up-roar from SW Airline operators when Stella Odua attempted to up-grade the Enugu Airport....with cries of how the Lagos Airport will be affected, how traffic and income will reduce drastically and so on,therefore i will rest my case for now.
