Ok. I have this app where I can watch all movies for free. I first begin watch it one day and after seeing 3 scenes where they were singing and dancing like those old days Indian movies I slept off,

Next time I heard someone mention it at work, I tried watching it again and slept off,

After I now heard it was nominated for the Academy awards, I decided maybe it was a good movie and I was just impatient. I egin watch begi struggle to stay awake, the people around me were also trying to stay awake

After a while we all slept off and woke up when the movie don finish

Maybe the movie reminds the award people of their childhood when they were watching "Sound of Music"

Maybe watching the movic will take you to lalaland the dreamland

I feel you're not into movies a lot, that's why you couldn't finish LA LA Land. I recommend that movie to 4 other people and only my cousin who's a movie addict gave it a positive review, others just said the film tried or that it's manageable. I think you're more into action movies that gets your interest piqued from the first minute.

That Birdman film I couldn't even make heads or tail of the movie. It was boring as fvck. I took my wife to see Revenant the Vals day before this one and we both fell asleep at the Cinema.

Yes, the more boring a movie is, the higher the chance of it winning an Oscar. While Caprio was brilliant in The Revenant, I'll take his performance in The Wolf of Wall Street over that of the The Revenant's.

I've had the Spotlight movie on my laptop for I think over a year now and I've never had any urge to watch it. It doesn't elicit any sort of hunger in me to watch it, so I can't give a review on it.

I felt that Daniel day Lewis was the real star of GONY. The guy stole every single scene he was in. And in my opinion, that's the reason why Leo hasn't been Oscar Worthy - in most of the films where he truly shines, there are other characters shining just as bright if not brighter e.g Billy Zane in Titanic, Jack Nicholson in the Departed, and at least 3 people in Django Unchained...

I agree though that Wolf of Wall Street is his best ever screen outing. That scene where he tumbles down a flight of stairs and crawls into his Lambo was the peak of physical comedy. That's the film where he really deserved the Oscar, not that Wildlife Documentary called the revenant.

Lol the Gang of New York I agree with but the others you listed I disagree strongly. In Django the best guy was Christopher Waltz. But for me that wasn't Di Caprio's best work. Don't agree with Departed and Titanic either.

Even at that three other films that should have definitely gotten another Oscar are Catch me If you can, Aviator and Shutter Island

Tbh the British are the best Actors in Hollywood. Unlike Most America Actors, the Brits actually do go to acting schools and it shows. "Oscar worthy" and "Oscar Winning" efforts are two different things though.

Saying Metabolic disorder is so vague as there are dozens of them. He probably has a hormonal or an enzyme problem. The likely ones are Diabetes, Cushing's or even Coeliac Dx.

You have to deliver a great performance, hope that there is nobody who has missed out many times before been compensated that year, hope that there is nobody in an iconic or socially relevant role that year e.g a gay role, transgender role, domestic abuse survivor, Jewish Holocaust survivor role e.t.c. Your studio has to have an effective PR machine, if you are a man you have to hope Daniel Day Lewis is not nominated also lol.

DiCaprio is good but let's not get over ourselves here, all his movies are pretty much not Oscar winning materials.Which of his movie acting is as good as Dallas Buyers Club,The Artist,TWBB,Lincoln.His award for the revenant was cos the academy felt they owed him one, it wasn't even his best movie.I also agree with you, the Oscars is no no longer about merit, its more of politics and campaigning, if not Jaoquin Phoenix should have won for The Master, probably the best acting I've seen since Raging Bull.

The Artist pays homage to to 1910s and 20s movies I.e silent movies, so it may be boring to you, but TWBB and The Master are probably the movies of the century so far.

After seeing him on House of Cards, next thing I saw him playing a cop in one film like that where he got murked quick, then baba turned up like a BOSSS in the otherwise disappointing Luke Cage, and now he's won an Oscar.
