The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has airlifted some stranded Nigerians in Mali back home. The Nigerian Embassy in Bamako leveraged on the NAF Charlie-130 Hercules aircraft to airlift these Nigerians that were victims of human trafficking. The deportees range between 16 - 28 years of age were received on arrival in Nigeria by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Diaspora and Foreign Affairs, Mrs Abike Dabiri Erewa and officials of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). The successful repatriation of these Nigerians was as a result of collaboration between the Nigerian Embassy and the Malian authorities anchored on mutual agreement. The Nigeria Consular Officer in Mali, Mr Abubakar Audu accompanied the deportees to Nigeria. Source; http://www.nationalhelm.net/2017/03/see-moment-stranded-nigerians-were.html 3 Likes

Is there any country in world that we don't have stranded Nigerians? Is there any human trafficker serving a jail term in this country? Lets call it by its name, it is slave trade! 12 Likes 1 Share |

Nice development... At least, our government done dey wake up to their responsibilities small small. But what happened to chartering a flight? On the other hand, it saves cost like someone rightly pointed out. 11 Likes |

decatalyst: Why should they charter a flight when there's an empty NAF plane available to bring them back. Don't you think that would be a waste of taxpayers money? 24 Likes 2 Shares |

The Nigerian government owes Nigerians wherever they are, whoever they are better standard of living back at home. #AllNigerianLivesMatter Set aside a hundred thousand hectares of farmland across the nation, mechanise it and build low cost but decent housing on the farms and within 4 years, Nigeria will be feeding the world and earning her major revenue from agriculture. Then will the double green colour on our flag signifying agriculture be justified. With work on our hands, food in our bellies and roofs over our heads, crime rate will drop drastically and then the middle white colour on our flag signifying peace will be justified. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 30 Likes 4 Shares |
