locodemy:But I sincerely think most stocks including Zenithbank will experience a slowdown in selloff. This is because the float of the EURO bond which for the first time is to be done domestically, will be today. Foreign portfolio investors who have being selling off to freeup money for the auction should be done by now. 1 Like |

Well I have learnt the hard way (by loosing clean N3M last year in FBNH and Dangflour - since everyone is throwing out figures, let me say mine too) that NSEMPA is full of alarmists and 'panickers' both among old timers and newbies. When you don't know what you're doing or do not have a well laid out strategy, you'll be caught in the cross fire. It's exactly what I was doing last year, that I lost that money. Well I learnt and learnt well. I also stopped posting thoughts cos I realized most people can't separate wheat from chaff. Get your strategy right so you're not tossed by every wind of doctrine. But after every thing remember the market is king and life is win some and loose some. Cheers. 5 Likes 1 Share |

They are viewing but not commenting. Many are they that are with calculators now.... Thou shall not count bthy chickens before they hatch.... This is the time to realise that when you buy a stock, your mind should be on how much you may lose rather than the other way round.... IT IS WELL. FACT CHECK: STOCK PRICES DO FLUCTUATE WILDLY.... 1 Like |

The federal government has approved the sum of N701billion as Power Assurance Guarantee for the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET). Briefing State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by the Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, said the facility would be made available by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). This, according to him, is to guarantee payment for the evacuation of electricity produced by Generation Companies (GenCos) to the national grid. http://www.energywatchng.com/fg-approves-n701bn-boost-electricity-generation/ |

PETERiCHY: I know you posted this info because of Transcorp but forget it nobody will fall for it...I took my precious time to pieces their annual report yesterday and honestly it was a mess! I saw a dying company on a life support marking only time before it finally dies. It really needs to be stripped of the numerous business units, and bury the idea of conglomerate. Bulk of its subsidiaries are in comatose stage and will soon die. Really, on financial basis, nothing interesting about this company and not good for short term or long term because of lack of clear strategic direction (having plc coy inside plc coy), key-man (Tony) risk, weak corporate governance, alarming debt portfolio, negative working capital amongst others. For instance, the E&P arm of the company operating OPL 281 (un-producing) is in a major litigation battle with a company who intially paid over N1.8b as part of farm-in fee on the block but no longer interested and wants its money refunded. As a result, transcorp has launched a litigation battle against the company in order not to return the funds. The deposit is referred to as ''Advance Deposit'' in the financials. (Please refer to Note 20 on page 49). I can go on and on why investing in this coy for now is a no-no...Definitely, all is far from being well with this Tony plc..oh, sorry, Transcorp plc 5 Likes |
