It is okay.

As you have rightly said, for them to accept letter with "To Whom it may concern", just writing IRCC Canada will be accepted as well.

sammyacbxyz:
I wouldn't ask if I have not searched. Someone else also suggested that any IRCC address will be fine. So I personally do not think asking for confirmation is too much. We are all trying to help each other here.

Thanks also for this confirmation. Cheers!

Pls do you have an idea about prospects and income for social workers?
I'm thinking of doing a diploma in social work once I land. Psychology is my first degree.
Thanks.

shinarambo1:

Then why do you want to go for diploma program? with all the coding skills you would learn in the HIM program, the max u would make as an HIM is circa 60-70k per year if you are lucky to get on an health service employer. Whereas a family physician in sask or alberta could make as much as 250k per year. The time you would devort to studying for a diploma could as well be used in studying for your licensure exams. It is doable... There are lots of naija doctors in sask for example. i was in a city called estevan south of sask, and out of the 20 docs in that city, 15 were nigerians. I begin same for Weyburn about 12 out of 18 are Nigerians. There was even a naija husband and wife doc sef in either of the cities sef. You would encounter Nigerian doctors all around the province and Canada...the trick is to start from smaller cities and town...Abeg no dull yourself ooo...

I know sask and i think nova scotia both have program to accelerate MDs into family health positions in rural communities or small cities within a space of 3 to 4 years. Due to the nature of my work...i travel alot around sask and over 50% of the doctors are Nigerians. You might want to research on those special programs in sask/nova scotia. I am not sure if other provinces have such programs.

Your pof of 3k in cash should work. Not sure bout the statement though. I converted mine to bank draft but they did not even ask to see it. They only counted the cash i had on me.

Modified:

for sask-

http://saskdocs.ca/work/family-physician---imgs/sippa/

For NS-

https://medicine.dal.ca/departments/core-units/cpd/traineeships/clinical-assessment-program.html

Alot of Nigerian doctors have benefitted from both programs.

Sorry about your results. It can be very demoralizing. I took my second speaking test yesterday and from the way the exam went hmmmmm.....
The examiner kept jumping from one topic to another. She asked questions about 7 unrelated topics from swimming to advertising to reading and buying books.I was
Wondering if it's the new style.
Anyways it's not over until it's over.

raymege:

Just checked. The Result was poor. 7.5 in all except Speaking - 6.5. Still wondering how I got 6.5 for Speaking. How was yours?

Good morning All, Iam in the process of submitting my online application for PR.

We are family of 5. The current POF is Canadian dollar 25,923 ( N6,102,254.36) as per Xe.com this morning.

I currently have N6million in Fixed deposit account.

My question is if i can add my spouse Pension Fund statement to make up the balance of the POF?

Will it be acceptable to CIC
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by yingman: 12:30pm On Mar 02, 2017
Mine was like this too, and she didn't even let me finish answering one completely before jumping to the next one.
I feel it's some form of way to see if you rehearsed the answers you're giving. Maybe throw you off balance.
But at the end, I got a score of 7.5
You'll do just great not to worry.

Hi everyone,
just a quick one please. I am married with 2kids, got a master's degree from U.K. & about to register to write IELTS, however my spouse who has a good job here in Naija isn't wiling to be part of this application process as he isn't ready to migrate yet. My question is; it possible to get an ITA without him involved? Will I need any of his documents during this process? Meanwhile I have 5 years of previous work experience but not currently employed. What are my chances please? I will appreciate all your inputs.

Your action is wrong and discouraging, it discredits responses gotten here and lays bad precedence, its not so cool when others try to reconfirm every information too.

Lets all endevour to google simple information, or betterstill, type your inquiry in Nairaland search. Nairaland is unbelievably robust.

You can indicate that he won't be accompanying you but he will still need to do medicals and get his PCC. Also, your POF will be for a family of four.

By the way, he does not have to leave immediately after getting PPR na. He can still stay in Naija for 3 years, which should be enough for him to decide whether he wants to move to Canada or not. He will however have to land sha but he can can come back to Naija immediately after landing.

Thank you for your quick response. Does that mean that he must be part of the application process? Like writing IELTS etc?

Writing IELTS is not compulsory, even for accompanying spouse. However, you will lose 30 points if your spouse does not have ECA or write IELTS, if he/she is accompanying. If he/she is not accompanying, you won't lose the 30 points.

If you both max out in the IELTS exam, your wife should be the PA cos of her age (extra 5 points)...

However, I would advice you both write IELTS first and then decide later.

I hail all the Gurus in the house, both contributors and those in ghost mode.

Based on what i have read so far, I realise that IELTS is one of the major hurdles (if not the main sef) to scale through if one want to get high score so as to enter the pool and get ITA asap.

Questions
who should be the PA?
Do we have change of getting good score?
What materials can help in getting good score in IELTS and what should we aim for.
Any other advice is welcomed

Pls try IQAS. My friend has been on WES for over 2 months now, status has been in evaluation for almost 2 weeks, missed ITA three times now. Seems WES is slow now cos I used them and it wasn't this bad.

You really can get ITA without him involved... If your age is within reasonable range and you do very well in your IELTS, you can get ITA without him getting ECA nor writing IELTS.

However, you will need to convince him to get his medicals done and also PCC... He can get his PR card and decide to travel much later when he feels he's ready. It's not mandatory to migrate immediately.

Hope there's good progress with IQAS cos you should get an ITA worthy score after you add both your masters' evaluations. I believe your story will change before the next draw.

This response is very helpful to me I appreciate. Does this mean that I should still list him in the profile as accompanying spouse? Then again, I am turning 33years old this November is that reasonable?
Thank you.

Hi all,

The journey that started last year May has finally come to an end. We finally landed in Canada yesterday. Glory to God as we are now officially Permanent Residents of Canada. Nothing much was asked except if we have new family members and if we have any criminal record. Even POF was not asked.

Want to wish everyone with their applications still in process all the best. For those that are still awaiting ITA and PNP, God will perfect it and finally for those who are contemplating on starting this Canadian PR journey, please start as soon as you can, you have got nothing much to lose.

I will still be on the forum to answer any questions you may have but I won't be able to answer any job related questions as we are only doing short landing. We will be travelling back home in the next few weeks as we are not planning to move to Canada permanently until the next 2 years.

Hello ,

Kindly explain short landing to me. Sounds like a good plan.

You can send me a mail on rolakeh@gmail.com. Pleaseeeeee
