So a friend of mine who is always criticising the system of government ask me this question yesterday. although am not an economist but i try my best to explain to him from the little knowledge of high school economics that i have but he seems not to understand. so i am throwing this question to the economist in the house. |

What we need is hard currency ie dollars. Even if you print naira you still need to convert it to dollars. With the current exchange rate how much naira do you need to get 15-20 billion dollars we need to come out of recession. That is why the emphasis on export to increase inflow of hard currency |

hadex90:I have little time to explain this to you now but picture this analogy: What do you think will happen if we all could just print the money we need on daily basis to meet our daily needs? I mean, the barber could print his, the manager could print his, the pepper seller could print hers, and so on and so forth. Will anyone need to hustle to get the money any longer? Your answer to this logic will help you further. If we could print the money we need, other countries would be able to print theirs as they deem needed too. If that happens, money becomes paper and worthless. Get it? |
