Kathyjex: I used ieltsadvantage.com. It has a detailed explanation of both essays you're gonna write. How to paragraph, what each paragraph should contain and a lot of other info. You can additionally just search for ielts writing on YouTube, you'd get a wealth of info on there as well. Try bumping up your reading to 8 too while you're at it, increases your score enormously. 2 Likes |

cookies: I used WES, was easy. I called school, told them abt WES n they were really familiar with it. School charged 40 quid for the extra transcript. I downloaded the WES form, filled my part n sent to school they filled theirs and put in envelope with my transcript n sent to them. Took just 2 days and status on WES changed. 2 Likes |

Hello All, Good Morning. I have been following this thread for a while now and I must commend you all are doing a great job. Congratulations to all those who have received ITA's and favour for all those awaiting. I am about to start my own journey and I have a few questions to ask. I want to start with WES and I studied philosophy in Ambrose Alli University does anyone on the thread have anyone to link me up with to enable me collect my transcript for evaluation? I will also appreciate if I am guided on the steps for evaluation through WES again just so that I am sure I am on the right track. Please gurus in the house. I need your help. Thanks ahead. |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Kathyjex: 9:27am On Mar 03, 2017 |
temitope06:Thanks alot Temitope. I will try my best. However, I am confident the marking for the writing was biased hence I am still apply for re-mark since it's just 15k which will be refunded if my score changes anyway. |

Afamdi12: This is a general issue and I also read it in other forums. Here is how I got around it: 1) Login to your myCIC page and open your EE profile by clicking "View Messages". 2) Click on the NOI message so that it opens for you to read. 3) Then scroll to the top of the page, you will see a row of menus that includes "print" and "logout". 4) Click on "print". A print dialogue box will open. Choose to "save" instead of printing. It will save the whole page in pdf format. Note that everything is ONLINE now. They do not accept any paper applications except those that got NOI before the new online system. Hope this helps. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

alt3r3g0: Nice writeup here but it's quite confusing. 1) IRCC says that your work experience must be full time which they mean to be at least 30 hrs of work experience and must be paid work. As long is you can prove this that's fine. For EE FSW, I have not seen where they said the job must be permanent. 2) Incorrect NOC is straight forward however what do you mean by duties mismatch? Is this not related to Incorrect NOC cos your duties in ur ref letter must correlate with the NOC chosen. |

tolurigs: Congrats. Wishing you all the best thru it all. Pls gurus in the house. I need to know if it is possible to use the soft copy of my ECA report for the entire process. I picked standard delivery while signing up for WES evaluation and i'm afraid i may not receive hard copy. Will i at any point need the hard copy? Advice pls |

I was discussing with someone yesterday about DIY (Do It Yourself) and I thought I should share it with people on this thread. As we are planning to get ITA, submit application or waiting for PPR. Let's take our time to learn some new skills which will be really handy when we get to Canada. Skills like making hair, sewing clothes, painting, decorating your house, repairing electrical goods, plumbing work will save you a lot of stress. These are skills that can easily fetch money that you will not have to pay tax on. Even if you are not making money out of it, you won't need to call tradesmen that will charge you exorbitant fees. You will have to learn how to maintain your home yourself. You wont be able to call electrician to come and fix light bulb for you or a painter to paint your room. I will use UK as an example as I have not really lived in Canada, you can buy Ankara for £20 and will have to pay £30-£50 to sew it. To slim fit or shorten a pair of Jeans/trouser will cost you more than the amount you bought the Jeans. Hair can costs between £30-£100 and the hairdo will still be terrible. Even those that learnt how to make hair on YouTube and are not very competent will charge you a lot. To change a lock after misplacing your key will cost you from £30 upwards. Also, if you can, get international driver's licence before you leave Nigeria. In addition, bring along your Nigeria Driver's licence. I heard, for some provinces, you might be able to get away with some driving test stages if you can prove you have been driving for some years. 22 Likes 1 Share |

Hello. I have a master degree in public health in the UK which is not related to the NOC (Medical Laboratory Technologist) that am choosing but I have more than 3 years work experience working as an MLT in Nigeria. If I evaluate only the MSc, what will be the implication? Also, if I want to work in Canada as an MLT, will I have to evaluate my Bachelors transcript again? Your detailed response will be highly appreciated. |
