We are Barcelona. We are not Man city. We lost 7-0 to Bayern, but it's Bayern not PSG. We lost @ the semi final, not 2nd round.

If Enrique doesn't turn that margin next week, then to me, he's beneath Mourinho.

Like I said, imagine our team tutored by Mou, he won't lose 4 nil against PSG.

I hate myself for saying this, but that's the fact.

The Dortmund that beat Mourinho 4-1 has a budget and wage bill thats only a fraction of PSGs. How many players in that Dortmund side that beat Mourinho were bought for over $10M , Now compare that to PSG

Mourinho lost 4-1 at Dortmund in a semi-final. He lost 3-1 ahome to ATM when he needed any type of win.

I am not defending Lucho as everyone knows I criticized him during the first season because I noticed a considerable change in our game play and we started playing like English "counter attacking" teams.

Because we won a treble and eventually 5/6 trophies I sheathe my sword and just remained anon. Even when we slumped again this term and played atrociously I wanted to give him a benefit of the doubt- still doing so now.

The reality is, we have the hardest job in world football in terms of our managerial requirements. We don't just want a coach to win games and trophies; but he is to do them playing an attractive and possession-laden style where we totally dominate whoever we are playing against. I knew Enrique was only going to last for a moment because he was pragmatic and delivered the goods without the style. We would have forgiven him this time around had we gone past PSG but losing 4-0 was too scandalous to bear and I am sure it neccesitated why he opted to leave come season-end..

Some Barcelona fans are just unrealistic with what they want.

I want Sampaoli to come and lets see if he will be winning the treble every season

Or if you get Mourinho to coach and he starts bus parking

You wan possession football and also trophies, yet you want someone like Valverde.

LOL.

Keep buying what this stupid board are selling to you.
I said I'd like a Spanish coach to take over, I don't remember saying I want Valverde.

You are sure Sampaoli can deliver possession football and the trophies to go with it? I have every right to be doubtful of Sampaoli. This is his first season in Europe, I'm sure you know that. If he becomes the coach, no problem. I'll just hope we don't become an 'almost team' under him.

That's a Dortmund that beat Bayern to the title for 2 consecutive seasons. That's a Dortmund team that had the likes of Lewandowski leading the line.

Do you honestly wanna compare that to PSG who are having their worst run in 5 years domestically?

A PSG team that isn't even on top of their league @ the moment?

I'm not trying to defend Mou, I'm just saying losing woefully to the worst PSG team in 5 years is an insult to a great institution like Barcelona.

Nobody expected the result quite alright as evident by the aftermath outburst. But, expecting a turn around next week in order to rate him either high or low is just out of place for me. I am not expecting any miracle and whatever the case may be, it would not take anything away from what he's already achieved with us.
I cannot imagine what Jose would do with my team as he's not even qualified in the 1st place.

Inasmuch as I desist Mou, at least he has a winning style. His style does not suite our philosophy, but it can't concede 4 unreplied goals against the worst PSG team in 5 years.

Are we still on this Enrique's issue?

Every Barcelona fan, I mean everyone that keys into the vision, history and background of this great club should be pleased that Enrique is going! Under his reign, the major values that made us not just successful, but highly admired were thrown to the gutters!
Yes he won a million trophies, for that we are greatful, but just imagine if the likes of Johan Cruyff and Pep had this similar type of "success" that Enrique had, do you think we would have been successful as we currently are? Mind you that Enrique's success was highly dependent on the success of Cruyff and Pep!
Now that Enrique is going, can you say his legacy would last even a year later? By legacy I mean his playing style and tactics?
This man ruined one of the greatest midfield this world has seen, that is unforgivable! Yes Xavi left, but is that why the midfield would just come down from America's status to Somalia 's status? Pep came, sent Ronaldinho away, sent Eto away, did we die?
It is on record that it was under his watch that La Masia fizzled out, he sold the last few starlets, which I'm sure had a bad psychological effect on the remaining boys in the academy!

I'm tired of seeing many teams playing good football, while the team I started supporting because of their good football has gone south! I believe that this current team has a lot more to offer, and Enrique doesn't have any other thing to offer! If he had, he wouldn't have resigned!

Bro, I saw that your post about Jose handling MSN on Man U thread and almost covered my face. You don't have to go that length just to discredit Lucho after all he's achieved with the club irrespective of what the situation is now. To even imagine you once praised him to high heaven made the matter worse. You served into Airmark's hand big time grin

Una still dey go Man U thread? Where dem dey for table sef? grin

Dortmund won the German league 2 times, PSG won the French league 5 times

This yr that Barca lost to PSG, PSG isnt even top of their league, The year Madrid lost to Dortmund, Dortmund was 25points behind Bayern when they were brushing Madrid and Mourinho 4-1

This PSG has Cavani, Dimaria, Draxler, Verrati

Losing 4-1 to Dortmund a team with less than 30% of PSG budget and wage bill is an insult to a tam like Madrid

In my initial post, I stated he was going at the beginning!
Whether he resigns or disappears, he is still leaving!

Resign means many things BTW! You can find Enrique's situation in one of these.
