Hello dear please where do I get jaggery in nigeria. If you can get me precise location I will be grateful.tganj
ajuwarhodes:

I haven't tried it though, am waiting for my son to be 8months and abover before trying it,an Indian lady(my very friendly neighbour) taught me how they make it for thier kids, according to her ,its healthy and makes them chubby
How to: put ghee or butter on sauce pan,(ghee is Indian clarified butter,my finding says its heathier for kids and adult more than butter)let it melt, and pour some semolina not semovita, and roast abit, then add baby formula which u must have melted in water and bring to boil.u can add cinnamon powder and jaggery.ghee ,cinnamon and jaggery can be bought at any Indian supermarket.will tell u abit about jaggery
Jaggery is made from.sugar cane,it basically sugar cane water, though its not watery, its well packed already.they(Indians use it instead of auger) it naturally sweet doesn't give jedijedi, thats what I use for my tea too.and has loads of health benefit, google can say much too.

Good evening mamas, trust we're doing fine...my ebf daughter will be 6months this sunday, pls help with answers to these questions;
*what should be the 1st thing to give her?
** will she continue to use her bottles?
*** how many pureed foods in a day plus how many times should she be fed in a day in addition to breastmilk?
**** what affordable formula would you suggest?
***** is it compulsory to cut her hair? If yes, when?
****** at what month is swallow and egg recommended?
Any other tip would be appreciated
s and all sabi mamas

For most of your questions......Some ideas here....
http://alphahandmaiden..co.uk/?m=1

For the formular just use what you can afford.

I dont think you need to cut her hair. Its definitely not compulsory. Most people only consider it if the hair is uneven and they want to give it a chance to grow evenly. If your daughter has a great big afro
Cutting it wont even cross your mind.

Just be packing it small small puff puff If it can pack.

My 1st son walked at 22months so chill ma. Sometimes they are just to scared to try. He was even very much scared of using a pushing cart that I bought for him but just one morning, he woke up and walked unaided.
Thanks mama.It is just that there is a lot of talk by people.every now and then tthey are always asking if he is now walking and hope his 2 months old sister would not walk before him, that gets me worried sometimes.from now on I would overlook it.

he will be fine. don't worry. the fact the he walks around whilst holding on to objects is a very positive sign.

i really doubt if a baby walker will be of any use at this stage. a 16months old a toddler is keen on exploring and will cry/refuse to stay in the baby walker.

what is his diet like? does he take full cream milk at least once a day? if not, introduce full cream milk into his diet. for example, if he takes cereal, be very generous with the quantity of nido or peak milk. you can also prepare a cup of milk and see if he drinks it. if he doesn't, you can sweeten it a bit with honey. even though he is past 12 months, he needs milk because of all the calcium that's found in milk. calcium is essential for strong bones. also look out for/introduce calcium fortified cereals and add fish to his diet. baby yoghurt, vegetables such as broccoli and green peas are also very good sources of calcium.

i will also suggest you introduce a vitamin D supplement as vitamin D helps in the proper absorption of calcium. if you are already giving him multivitamin syrup, then there is no need for an extra Vitamin D supplement as the multivitamin syrup should also contain vitamin D (please check the label). if he is not on a daily multivitamin, then you should consider introducing one. 'wellbaby' by vitabiotics is a very good brand.

finally, you need to build his confidence. support him while walking. encourage him to stand unsupported for long period and give a big 'yayyyy', clap and cheer him every single thing he stands unsupported (even if its 2 seconds). try not to appear stressed or upset when he wobbles and falls. instead, lift him up, give him a hug, cheer him and then practice the walk again. you can also hold on to a snack and toy and encourage him to come towards you (while cheering him on) to get it.

God bless you for this mama.he takes nan 3.I would adher to your advice.Have a swell day.

Ma, just press the ignore button so long as your son can stand and hold tinz while walking. You should only worry if his limbs are too weak to even carry him up.

Mtscheew when they ask if he's walking already tell them he's already climbing trees, walk is too easy.

Anyone who makes comment about his sister walking before him please feel free to say whatever nasty retort that comes to your mind. Just make sure you laugh while saying it, as if you're joking.

Thank you! Am really greatful for everything. May people like you never depart from me especially in this thread. May God continue to enrich you with more wisdom and Bless your Family...IJN... Amen!

Amen. God bless you too.

I know nothing about the cost of renting a shop in owerri. can you spend the next few days going around key locations (popular markets, busy residential areas) and find out how much it costs to rent a shop inclusive of all agency and legal fees?

Your findings will determine whether or not you can afford to rent a place from the 200k and still have considerable money left to invest in the business itself.

Once you make your findings, post here and quote me and I will try to respond as soon as possible.

That said, the problem with renting for a startup business is that if one is not careful, it's very easy to incur huge running expenses (rent, local government taxes, security, electricity bill, generator running costs, association fees/levies,etc) which can just erode whatever profit the business is making.

For a business to be successful, there must be a very good profit margin or high volume of sales or both whilst keeping expenses to the barest minimum.

I already have some business ideas in mind and how you can do a small business pilot/test run some ideas before you choose the one you think is most suitable for you with the highest profit margin and then concentrate on that.

Pls can anyone recommend a very good blender, one tht can be used to blend all kinda stuffs, like millets etc for baby food. This is to avoid taking the food to public blending shops which sometimes the issue of hygiene might be called into question. Also a very good food processor recommended (one tht u can use to make purees, smoothies, fruits juice etc) will be appreciated

I use the Medela Pump In Style double electric and it's really a live saver. I've used it everyday for the past 6 months, 4-7 times a day and it has never disappointed. It's fast too. I get 6-20oz (depending on the time I pumped last) within 20-40 mins.
