A bigger club does not necessarily mean it is the ideal place for players development. Ask Adel Taraabt about his stay at Tottenham.

People keep telling me i'm wrong but i feel celtic are responsible for the downfall of Efe Ambrose. We should not send another Nigerian there at least when other better offers are on the table.

yes ooo..that guy is quality. having so much quality players is a good thing and has more advantages than disadvantages...
his success with Nigeria national team will swiftly make others to have a rethink of committing their allegiance to Nigeria

I hope we go for Tammy, and Aina as well

Adi is a pure number 9.. All he needs to do is get the ball in goal. you don't have to be classy about it..
He put's the necessary effort.. Nothing extra. What is a number 9 for? We are looking for a number 9. Try him, as long as he has the confidence to score consistently.

All I'm saying is based on what I've seen from him, he doesn't bring anything that we don't get from Ighalo and Ideye. We have Nacho who can play as a 9 as well.

that's Nigeria league for you...consistency is their problem. perhaps enyimba and let's say kano pillars have been the few consistent clubs...still remember ocean boys who once won the league... had been relegated

Top post. You just hit the nail at the head.

It's time people start looking beyond the name of the club a player represents and look at the unique abilities the said player will bring to the table.
Christian Bassogog was playing in the USL (a level below MLS) just 2 years ago. He went to the nations cup on the books of Aalborg in Denmark yet he came out with top marks after the tournament. Winning the best player ahead of more fancied players in bigger leagues.
Kante a few years back was playing for the second team of Boulougne. This didn't stop his shine.

I think a guy like Azubuike okechukwu is talented enough to command a place in this Super Eagles team since Mikel is out of the picture. Non of the midfielders Rohr called up can hold the ball and distribute like Azubuike but he was neglected because he doesn't play in the Premiership.
I watched in shock how our midfield crumbled at the Olympics without Azubuike, even with the presence of Mikel.

Chikeluba Ofoedu is another guy I rate very high. In the past 10years I don't think I have seen a more talented player than this guy. But somehow he is earning his coin playing in Turkey.

Here is a video compilation of Ofoedu for those who don't know him.
Chikeluba Ofoedu - Samsunspor / 2015-2016 [Goals,…:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivakpjRFTfo

Am not holding brief for anyone playing in a an "obscure" league but Sometimes, we should give talent a chance.

Chikeluba Ofoedu. Great talent.
I was disappointed he was not invited to the 2011 Flying Eagles camp that had Ahmed Musa, Abdul Ajagun, Olanrewaju Kayode, Uche Nwofor, and co.

But Chikeluba's career has not progressed as expected. undecided
He, IMO is not a Super Eagles material for now.

I agree these players mentioned are at the top of their game, however Azubuike is talented enough to mix up with the big boys. He possess a skill set these other guys do not.

Azubuike, is a young talented player. He is still 19. IMO he is doing great 'for his age'.
However, I would not consider him ready for the Super Eagles yet. Let him keep playing and hopefully move to a more competitive league or division and then we re-evaluate his chances.

I am with edi287 on the fact that Adi and Samuel could not cope with the drills in camp. The reports earlier from the camp said this before the coach confirmed it.

I think Osimhen and Isaac Success got called up to get a closer look by the coach, more like Osimhen. I think Rohr set his sight on the future of the Super Eagles. He sees Osimhen and Success as a big part of the Super Eagles future. Just like Awaziem.

Under whose regime? Rohr or the fraudulent Nigerian coaches(as confirmed by Amokachi)? grin

Forget about all these fraud allegations and lets discuss objectively. I whole heartedly stand by TheGoodjoe on this.

But I still feel Osimhen needs to get his game started in his club for us fans and analysts to fully assess his readiness. Rohr may have been pleased with his performance in training the last time out which could be y he is giving him another look-in opportunity. We were not there at the training grounds with them, So what do I know?

Does the Imoh Ezekiel u saw at Rio look like a player that can command a place in the current Super Eagles forwards line?
Imoh Ezekiel initially snubbed Nigeria by refusing to play with the 2011 Flying Eagles.

Nobody is saying Onyekuru is not good but he is a surplus requirement to the position he would play for the Super Eagles for now. The wings are where we have the most abundance of quality players. For Musa and Simon not to be in first 11, that tells the story. Aluko is not even invited. Rohr may have picked Success ahead of Aluko and Onyekuru. Success cannot even be a starter yet.

Onyekuru is still young. His time will come IF he continues to improve.

He, IMO is not a Super Eagles material for now.
Am not touting him to be invited. I talked about him in the context of having a world class talent playing in a backwater league in Europe. His problem was that he left for Europe too early. I know for sure he would have made the keshi CHAN team of 2014 and probably played a few friendlies before the world cup. He just would have given himself a better chance of securing a good deal with a good European side and take it off from there.
We were taking about Mbappe the other time, but Chikeluba is equally as talented if not better. If anyone thinks am kidding, they should watch the video the posted.

Am making a case about Okechukwu because from the midfielders Rohr called up, all of them are basically more of the same. I would have loved to see K. Nwakali, Mikel Agu or Okechukwu. Forget about where okechukwu plays, even is very good.
