She doesn't know how to use it, just teach her.The same way you would fumble if asked to drive a flying boat for the first time,if you visit a riverine community.
There is always a first time.That she doesn't know how to put out the gas flame doesn't mean she is stupid ;there are so many things that you don't know how to use.
