Icon4s: It was Adi and Samuel but those stories were bogus. I can also remember reading about Adi scoring in training. |

Icon4s: Honestly speaking, some of our players are becoming redundant in their club these days because they feel national team is a sure Banker. That is very bad for the national team. Musa needs to buckle up else Onyekuru and Aluko are coming for him. 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: How is Celtic responsible for Ambrose loss of form? Ambrose had a bad injury and when he returned, he was not the same player again. His speed was gone. The club can not take the blame for that. From your ideology, we should blame Watford for Ighalo's loss of form and Malaga for Uche's loss of form. |

TheGoodJoe: What injury? Efe Ambrose was rushed into action straight after winning the Afcon into a champions league round of 16 match against Juventus. He made a costly mistake and instead of celtic nation to admit they were punching out of their weight and even thank Efe for a gallant effort minus the error they proceeded to bash and insult this man until is confidence was null and void. On the other hand Watford fans sang Ighalo's name untill he left. The 2 situations are not similar. 2 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: When I am talking of Efe Ambrose losing form, it was after the World Cup not AFCON. Efe was injured and even missed games for the Super Eagles. After that, his speed was gone. Celtic can not take the blame for that. Watford fans singing Ighalo's name does not show that Ighalo did not lose form. Ighalo lost form while he was at Watford and Watford can not take the blame for that. |

Icon4s: Watch Onyekuru play and your opinion will change. Hopefully, he keeps up his form. The jury is still out on Ebuehi. Good player though. Thankfully, Bazee was not born in 9ja otherwise his age would be debated. I have watched him play, very European kind of winger, lots of pace but does not keep possession that well. Not sure, he is ready for the Eagles. |

AF Nigeria Ndidi working hard to cement place in Leicester line-up Wilfred Ndidi by Austin Ditlhobolo Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi has stated that he's enjoying playing with Danny Drinkwater at English Premier League (EPL) side Leicester City. The hard-working central midfielder joined the Foxes from Belgian club KRC Genk midway through the current 2016/17 campaign. Ndidi, who has made six EPL appearances, has already established a good partnership with Drinkwater in the Leicester central midfield. “He’s an experienced player so he tries to make things easy for me. I’ve learnt a lot from him," Ndidi told LCFC TV. “We both try to makes things easy for each other, so that way it makes me adapt better. “I’m really happy to be playing and I’ll try to work hard to be there to help the team," he continued. “The key for me is to help the team and win more than me being in the team.” On Saturday, Ndidi, 20, helped the Foxes beat Hull City 3-1 in a league encounter at the King Power Stadium in the city of Leicester. africanfootball.com/news/692799/Ndidi-working-hard-to-cement-place-in-Leicester-line-up |

Antonio Conte explains why Victor Moses wasn’t loaned out Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has explained that Victor Moses wasn’t loaned out this term because he impressed in pre-season. The Nigerian winger has been sent on loan to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United in the past three seasons, but this campaign he remained at Stamford Bridge and has become a key player for the Blues. “When I saw him during pre-season I was very clear with him that he would stay here for the whole season,” Conte told a Friday press conference. “I said I hope he’s happy with that and he said he was very happy to stay and try to prove himself and prove he was ready to play for Chelsea. “I’m pleased for him, he deserves it and nobody gifted him anything.” Moses earlier this week signed a new contract with Chelsea which ties him to Stamford Bridge to 2021. mtnfootball.com/mobi/news/692475/Antonio-Conte-explains-why-Victor-Moses-wasnt-loaned-out |

Super Eagles Shot Stopper Alampasu Reacts To Rohr’s Decision To Axe Him From Senegal, Burkina Faso Friendly Games Nigeria international shot stopper Dele Alampasu has reacted to the decision of coach Gernot Rohr to exclude him from the squad of players for the upcoming friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso. Alampasu was a part of the squad for the last World Cup 2018 qualifiers game against Algeria, which Nigeria won 3-1 in Uyo , but was left out of the squad for the friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso in London. Reacting to a report by Owngoalnigeria, where former Nigeria International goalkepper Emmanuel Babayaro questioned the decision of the coach to call up three goalkeppers of same age bracket, the Casarense shot stopper backed the coach on his exclusion. “All is well boss just a matter of time I will surely get there I’m still working hard everyday to become my best everything in life is a time my time will surely come”, he said. “I’m very cool with the choice of the coach, for now am still young I have a long way to go in my goalkeeping career. But things are not working the way I want now, It doesn’t mean I will not get to where I want. Everything will happen at the right time I believe. God bless my great county”. owngoalnigeria.com/2017/03/03/super-eagles-shot-stopper-alampasu-reacts-to-rohrs-decision-to-axe-him-from-senegal-burkina-faso-friendly-games/ |

Oliseh’s Rescue Mission To Fortuna Sittard Close To Completion As Unbeaten Run Extends Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh is nine points away from rescuing Dutch second division side Fortuna Sittard from relegation following yesterday’s 0-0 draw against Jong PSV. Oliseh was appointed by the club at the start of the year with a mandate to steer them away from relegation to the third division, which if successful will trigger an automatic contract extension for the former Ajax midfielder. He has taken to the job quite well with his team only suffering defeat once since his appointment as coach, and they are presently in a six game unbeaten run. Their fine run means they now need nine points from their remaining games to guarantee their stay in the second division, although they appear to be safe judging by their current position of 15th on the table. However to be mathematically sure, nine points from their remaining ten games will be okay to see them retain their status for another season, and also keep Oliseh for another season. owngoalnigeria.com/2017/03/04/olisehs-rescue-mission-to-fortuna-sittard-close-to-completion-as-unbeaten-run-extends/ |

Henry Onyekuru & Mikel Agu Will Get Super Eagles Chance – Rohr Assures Two of the players omitted by coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr from his list of players for the upcoming friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso, have been assured that they will be given a chance with the team in the future. The duo of Eupen hot in demand in-form forward Henry Onyekuru and FC Porto loanee Mikel Agu are reportedly under close watch by Rohr. Onyekuru has emerged as the beautiful bride of most European teams owing to his fine performances for Eupen in Belgium, where he has found the back of the net 14 times 29 games. Agu has also grown in leaps and bounds this season at his current loan side Vitoria Setubal, after putting behind the injury worries that has slowed down his career in the past. ”They are two of the players Rohr is monitoring, they will be given a chance in the future. I can’t tell you when but I know they are in the plans of the coach”, a close source to the German coach told Owngoalnigeria.com. owngoalnigeria.com/2017/03/04/henry-onyekuru-mikel-agu-will-get-super-eagles-chance-rohr-assures/ |

FC Porto Awaziem – I Understand How Rohr Wants Us To Defend As A Team FC Porto Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem says he understands what is demanded from defenders by coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr. Awaziem trained under Rohr’s supervision before his first game in charge of the Eagles against Tanzania last year in a dead rubber AFCON 2017 clash in Uyo. He didn’t get to play in the game which Nigeria won 1-0, and was subsequently asked from the squad for their other games against Zambia and Algeria. Rohr has however handed him a recall for the upcoming friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso in London later in the month. ” I clearly won’t struggle to fit into the defensive formation of the coach. I fully understand how he wants us to defend. I learnt a lot from training with him last time out”, Awaziem told Owngoalnigeria.com. ” I am a better player now from the last time I was invited. I have played over 30 games this season and by the grace of God I will make use of this opportunity to stamp my feet in the Eagles defence”. owngoalnigeria.com/2017/03/04/fc-porto-awaziem-i-understand-how-rohr-wants-us-to-defend-as-a-team/ |
