March 2017 Roll call for June 2017 mamas

God has been so good to us, he started the journey with us and here we are six months plus to seven months now. I know by now, we know the sex of our babies. I checked mine last weekend and is a Boy, I always wanted a boy to be my first and God perfected it. I dnt know how to start my buying, everything looks so attractive and nice. Mamas pls suggest what to buy so that we new mamas can learn. Before I forget my edd has changed to 17th and I believe it will still changed.

My edd was not updated o, see as my cappo and blossomedcherry dey follow me bumper to fender. From same edd of 27th to a close edd of 17th while I was given 16th. My newest scan sef has changed to 5th sef, really dont know which to take but I go for 5th biko, d date that brings me closer to meeting with my rainbow is my edd. update 5th for me but if you like, put their 3 for update sake. For my 1st son, I sat in hot water bowl mixed with salt and dettol. I first sit ontop and let the steam from the hotwater go up to the site, when the water seems to be getting warm, I then sit on it afterwhich I clean with a towel and I was healed in less than 5days. Before a week, I alrdy abandoned d hotwater steam cuz I was fine.
I did it every morning, afternoon and evening.

Divie it happened to me too, in fact I think I've gone up one shoe size now cos some of my pre preggy shoes no enter me. Once bp is ok just elevate as much as you can, even when you are sleeping put them on pillows and buy sandals in bigger size. Lol

I sit normal after the hot water procedure. No much position was I placed on specifically.

I was also stitched ma, both the tears and the episotomy but it healed perfectly well. you dont sit on the very hot water, its just the steam. you sit on it when the water is already warm.

its not hot water which may dissolve the stitch but lukewarm water with salt or nothing as dettol could introduce infection into the vagina .also try to use mirror to check it afterwards.
you could try to sit more on a hard surface heard it helps and also try to keep it dry always.

In my 2 previous births I used normal tap water with dettol n salt n sit inside it for 20mins, 3times daily. I was perfectly healed on the 3rd day. Pls do it religiously to avoid smell n pain.

If u 're stitched it will dissolve on its own over time. Do it for 2weeks

The nip.ple shield will only do little, so don't bank so much on it...
The nip.ple is usually sore and very painful those first few days, but everything will go away even without you knowing it. Just keep trying ur best.
Lansinoh nip.ple creme, coconut oil etc didn't do anything for me. The only thing that helped much for the nip.ple pain was rubbing my breastmilk on my nip.ples & areola, then baby vaseline occasionally.

Pls take ur sitz baths seriously. Sit in warm salt water at least 2 times a day. Whenever u wee or poo, use warm water to wash off and dry with a small clean towel or handkie.
My doc also prescribed oral antibiotics and diclofenac(anal insertion) for me. The diclofenac really helped reduce the pain but pls consult ur doc first. Those are the things that really helped me. The sitz bath, very very important! Then washing with water after every activity in d loo. Very important! Then change ur pad every 3-4 hours

Chai my cappo caught me today, phone has been giving me issues lately ni jare. How is d ministry going? For me d tiredness no be here o, had malaria dat caused me serious back ache, had to be placed on bed rest last week. it's less painful to sit on a soft chair with ur legs closed. All those talk about sitting on stool didn't work for me

Reduce salt intake, take a lot of water and try to walk around. It happened to me wen I just was 20weeks, but it has gone totally now.

How big is your bump? Once you get to Idumota, and you are pregnant, there's this annoying set of women that would keep following you until you go crazy. Once you chase one, another one would come, they would be asking you 'Aunthy you want baby things, let's go to my shop'. Tell them you already have a customer but don't pursue them until they take you to Dosunmu market which is where they sell baby things then when you get there pursue them cuz nothing good comes from them. Ask for little me shop, that's where I did 90% of my shopping cuz I don't have energy to walk around neither do i enjoy haggling and they sell at set prices, and their prices seem fair. There's two little me shops there, you can visit both. Even if you don't want to buy there, just go there first to get a feel of the prices, then you can go to the other shops and bargain.

i do remember that alphahandmaiden has discussed extensively on this issue with reference to witch hazel spray, sitz baths, etc. she might be able to provide more detailed suggestion on how to relieve the pain.

It's official ! satan is looking for my trouble .so i went for scan today,28 weeks .Baby in a breech position(head in the uterus,bottom in the cervix ,legs crossed ),took doc more than 30 minutes to find out the sex as if that is not enough anterior low lie placenta and a 7 months baby weighing 1.49 .i am just so mad at myself ,v bin too careless .I don't want to know how and where all this is coming from ,i'll vent all my annoyance on my knees .satan wants to disgrace himself again . It's being from one story to another .didn't bother telling dh,the least i can do is allow him concentrate at work and keep his sanity .i'm declaring again that i and my baby will not die and there shall be no complication ,seems satan's deaf or just being stupid as usual! *MODIFIED* Thanks everyone
