Just if he was taken seriously and showed empathy rather than been insulted, he would probably have been alive still.
If I've learnt anything, it is not taking everything as joke, even it somethimes mean pretending to care.

Shut the Bleep up and face Tinubu and ur political thieves who have stolen all that belong to ur region and mortgaged ur future to live of servitude to the gambarians.

When other regions were investing on their people to be self dependent and depend less on a faulty zoogerian government, your people were jumping neck deep into government believing that every of their life needs will be provided by the goverment social packages. Today non is coming and they are taking the easy way out as cowards.

Your people need re-orantation on how to depend on yourselves and focus less on goverment. The easters doesn't care if there's goverment or not. Even those who works in goverment ministries also have other means of generating more income, hence whether government is on strike or not their family will never go hungry.

The first person to comment on the post was heartless. May God forgive him, and may he ask for forgiveness for not being a soothing balm in the time of anguish.

That's how most Nigerians are, when you talk about suicide they don't care but mock you. 80% don't even know the word called depression.

May God grant the dead man a rest.
80% is too small.
U should be talking about 98%

Some people take everything as joke. The Ibidun Pino guy should be arrested and questioned for cyber bullying

It was obvious that the suicidal guy was very depressed when he wrote the msg on Facebook, instead of words of encouragement to fight thru whatever he was facing, one idiot decided to use his words to actuate the suicide

Ibidun Pino, you will live the rest of your life knowing that your words helped in accelerating a friend's death when he needed your love and support most

must you guys concoct words to prove a point, what the hell is the connection between cyber bullying and what transpired here. The nigga has seen it all and wanted to end it all, so don't pin his death on that ibidun nigga.

besides Nigeria and their over superstitious attitude, someone committed suicide and they are already pinning it on someone that they believe it is not ordinary. Before you know rivalry and hatred would set it because of someone's foolishness

I can never end a life I did not create and I beg God not to allow juju people control me to do that!

Life in Naija now is really not fair for everybody, including the rich! Everybody is just trying to survive any how.

Nobody should ever think of suicide.......even beggars can never think of suicide, let alone a full fleshed, healthy man. Worse of it all, go and do menial jobs. There are a lot of them, labourer, driver, picking refuse, cleaning toilets, etc!

I tell u the truth, I know some intelligent graduates(graduated about 5 to 8 years ago) that do these menial jobs, and at night they still hang out with one or two bottles of beer and even with pepper soup. They even talk about their hustle and laugh it off!
The next day, the same hustle continues!

#Life sweet o!

#just live it and enjoy it anyhow!
from what u wrote I can deduce that you feel people get depressed only from having financial problems or failing to achieve their dreams and goals..
If you have the opportunity to find out the root of depression from folks who suffer it you will be shocked to learn rare unique causes of depression which can turn someone suicidal.

A lot of people in this country are depressed, especially when you see others that started with you making it in life, you just feel like taking your life is the best option, but honesty it is not. There is always hope for the living,
Just keep trying, don't give up, one day your sun will shine.

How do you define making it? By how much money/wealth you have? Or by how many people you have positively IMPACTED their lives meaningfully (not by dashing them money anyhow oh)
Why should everyone make it at the same time and in the way at the same pace?
Why should any REASONABLE person be bothered about such a reality of life

No sir,you want to incite another depression in him so he dies too,how would you feel if living with the supposed guilt of actuating the suicide leads to his own death and another person blames you too for provoking another suicide? That is no solution... only a vicious circle will be achieved.
Truth is,anytime someone expresses symptoms of depression either by gesture or by words, immediate medical attention should be sought because research has shown that almost all suicides are provoked by depression. however, only a learned person can take this type of people seriously having in mind the possible complications that could ensue, the major one being suicide. If anyone makes any statement related to suicide,it should be considered a medical emergency because only such intervention would save the person's life in the long run. RIP man...

Jonathan left power two years ago.
Buhari promised heaven on earth and was sold as our "only saviour", not so
Instead the dullard has been selling forex at N3:$ to his Daura cabal friends while we go deeper into recession despite the trillions budget sent in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
If you are a THINKING person, you should be asking what happened to all the budget and still no jobs, forex at N500 in the parallel market
You should face your front and hold those in power NOW accountable for the looting going on while he is PRETENDING to be fighting corruption.

Depressed people are not foolish, they are going through a phase in life that only them understand. I smile when people abuse people that are depressed, only if you understand what they are going through. And dont tell me you don't know what cyberbully is? It is the use of internet to say something negative about someone
Now tell me how you will define someone that said "if you want to kill yourself, don't die for waste, let's use u for money ritual"

Boko Haram suicide bombers are NOT Africans, right?
Back in the days how much access did you have to information about ALL "Africans, most especially Nigerians"
You should re-tell yourself something SENSIBLE, my brother!
Life is not (and should not be) about material things but rather about RELATIONSHIPS with people. That would explain the POSSIBLE lower rates of suicide in the past as we had an extended family support system for caring for each other.

Things are hard for people because the focus on just simply having money is wrong.
The focus should be on creating value and working hard to sustain and constantly improve the value created, hence many smart people are making it in this otherwise harsh economy by readjusting themselves and their priorities.

you still not getting it. Do you know you can have all of the highlighted and beyond and still be eluded of happiness? Being successful and feeling accomplished is not a ticket to depression free land. Nigerians are humans too and as such aren't immune to getting depressed.
You cant know about something until you know about it.
You dont know beyond what you know about depression so you can never understand why someone who is successful will commit suicide until you know beyond what u know about depression
