In 1999 election, Obasanjo won with 62.6% of the vote to defeat Olu Falae 52. During his regime as a Civillian President,Nigeria’s GDP Growth rate doubled to 6percent 53. As a civilian President, Nigeria’s foreign reserves skyrocketed from $2billion in 1999 to $43billion in 2007 when he left office 54. His Second Wife-Lynda was killed by armed robber after failing to move out of her car quickly as ordered by the robbers. 55. Obasanjo once served as a teacher before joining The Army 56.
