No wahala yourself too much. I just ran away from infinix. They've disabled the option to use SD card as adoptable storage from their XOS update. Even the one he showed in the screenshot is for portable storage. He can't sfill adopt his memory card as internal storage. One of the flaws in XOS update. XUI android 6.0 has that option. But we all know virtually all new infinix phones don't have XUI firmware. They are gradually phasing out XUI stock firmware from the support page on their site.

that was why I formatted my sd card as internal storage but even at that I still don't like the feature.

if you format it as internal storage it simply means you can't use another sd card on that phone unless you format the sd card to adapt to your phone system,mind you your formal sd card is already damaged (i mean cleared from your phone system) so that if you wish to re-insert the formal sd card back into the phone you MUST FORMAT IT before it can adapt to your phone system again.

I don't know why google don't just make it easy to use external and internal storage together like on windows.android open source nature makes it possible,plus 7 of every 10 android phone probably has SD card support,all google major customers support SD card,and Samsung alone were able to improve sales of s7 from s6 just by simply returning an SD card slot to the s7.y do google just keep fighting themselves and trying to be apple rather than focus on the strength of their os

funny thing xui is ten times better than xos.I never used a launcher with xui but with xos I just use google now launcher cuz xos has this weird icon cutting to shape them in a round way but it looks awkward and ugly,the app drawer is weird and I don't know why we even need a transparent notification center,if any thing xui was like stock android but xos is a mess and will also slow down infinix already slow is updates

You see, it's not in XOS. When you format an SD CARD as portable, you can't install games or apps on it. You can only save pictures, videos and music on it. But if format is as adoptable or as internal memory, you can install games and apps on it. Meaning all game data will be on your SD card instead of the phone memory.

In essence, the ability to format SD card as adoptable or internal storage on XOS is disabled. You can only use as portable.

I tire,who knows what version 7 and their 2017 phones will come with.

xui was one of their best and stable rom with good battery and ram optimization,xos sucks from beginning to the end.

I learnt there will be a custom android xos nougat,even if it didn't get such update I am willing to downgrade to xui lollipop.

the reason I dumped gionee was their poor battery backup,I used gionee p2s and when I wanted to buy new phone I compared gionee s plus with tecno boom j8 and infinix note 2 lte...at the end I went with note 2 lte.

Seriously? Gionee's got one of the best battery backup. Boom J8 is garb I used it... I used P2, P3, P4, M3, M2, M3mini and now S6s.. Joyful ride.

I don't expect them to dedicate time on their phones since majority of times phones are budget phones, including their flagships.. Samsung S4 is still receiving support despite been an old phone. Sure bet is for one to find either a Samsung, HTC or LG device
