Ncdmb/samsung Heavy Industries Welding Training Program 2017 by habicab: 11:38am On Mar 11, 2017 |
Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria(SHIN) conducted a selection assessment on Wednesday, 8th of March, 2017 @ the Federal Place Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The assessment is for a welding training program to be organized by SHIN under the supervision of Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB). 200 candidates were invited for the assessment but not everyone was present. I'd like to know if anyone has an idea of what to expect in the training, for how long the training would be and the feasibility of being retained after the training. May God Almighty bless our hustles. 1 Like |

LOOOOOOOL Una blood dey hott ooo. Oya no vex biko. The truth of the matter is that it wasn't as if there was a recruitment process to apply through. I registered with NCDMB since 2015 and suddenly got invite stating that I have been nominated by NCDMB to participate in a training program. So it's actually not my fault that i got the invite. id911:Bros, actually the info was on nairaland, just that a thread was not created for it. You were too quick in judging. Make you try chill abeg. mactoni91: Bros, you too, No be as you think am oo. You guys should try to get registered on NCDMB portal too. It's not too late as they select people randomly and attach to different companies from time to time. Just google am, it's not hard to find. All the best. 1 Like 1 Share |

habicab: Ok. I no vex again cos u gat good manners. I guess this one you guys just did was for those with ND, I may be wrong tho. It's a minimum three months training program in South Korea. You won't be retained. After the training, you're suppose to come back to Nigeria and work in an NLNG co-funded multi-million dollars shipyard development and building project in Badagary, Lagos. Unfortunately the project hasn't commence because of a big issue with Niger Delta that stalled it commencement. They are saying the project must be sited in the Niger Delta 1 Like |

id911: Thanks for the info. I'm actually a B. Eng holder but I'm not sure if it's same with others too or mixed. And as for the NLNG project, I know some guys were sent there for training some time ago which was specifically sponsored by NLNG, but I'm not sure if this one has any connection with NLNG. Maybe it is, maybe not. I guess with time we'd get to know. I heard some people were invited for assessment by Agip last December for a training program also based on nomination by NCDMB. |
Re: Ncdmb/samsung Heavy Industries Welding Training Program 2017 by id911(m): 3:33pm On Mar 11, 2017 |
habicab: There are different training programs undertaking by NCDMB in collaboration with IOCs, other Oil and Gas firms and also with related companies unbehalf of the Federal Govt initiated by the Government of fmr President Goodluck Jonathan. Since the assessment you guys did was in the area of welding, I'm certain it's for the project I mentioned earlier except there are other projects they are considering. Anyway I wish u goodluck |

From the information provided earlier, its an indication that's the program is in batches. So if you haven't been called yet, there's possibility that you might be called in subsequent batches. Lets keep up the hope. May God bless our hustles. |
Re: Ncdmb/samsung Heavy Industries Welding Training Program 2017 by Nobody: 3:34pm On Mar 25, 2017 |
habicab: They should have brought out the names of all successful candidate at once and notify them of the batch they belong. This will help someone to package his stuffs |

pls anyone shortlisted in the Batch A should please keep us posted in the latest development. pls I humbly wish to know the following 1) how many of you guys were shortlisted? 2) what is the duration of the training? 3) how much is the monthly payment /stipend? 4) Is there any provision for accommodation and transportation? etc.... |

Impactever: Did you participate in the selection exercise? |
Re: Ncdmb/samsung Heavy Industries Welding Training Program 2017 by Impactever(m): 2:28pm On Mar 31, 2017 |
SKYZZZ: yes.... I did..... but was not contacted after the exercise. As it stands now, I don't even know my fate in the so called Batch B..... I am even beginning to have a feeling in my spirit that there is nothing like batch B..... They may have just tagged the shortlisted candidate as Batch A just to douse Tension among people like us that were not shortlisted. Thereby giving us a false hope...... if they are sincere about the batch B list, they should have shortlisted every body at once indicating the batch each Candidate belongs to..... Then, Also, those they consider not qualified that would not be shortlisted would also be sent a feedback to know their status..... At such, everyone would know his/her stand..... than giving people like us a false hope..... NCDMB should For Christ sake be sincere and transparent in their selection process..... this is not fair. |
