My post isn't judgemental or abusive in any manner, I only asked question, the thread isn't about who know it all, moreover i never said in my post that breatmilk is the almighty anti-illness drink. Before a doc could prescribe a drug with a cefpodoxime as an active ingredient (orelox contain cefpodoxime as an active ingredient) he is definitely treating a broad base INFECTION. It is recommended for babies from 24 weeks. So I know the reason why I asked if she is on EBF.
I don't know if you are FTM as I wouldn't want to make you worry as to the reason why the doc prescribed antimalarial and antibiotics for your baby but try to careful about the environment the baby live especially as we approach the rainy season. Your baby will be fine.

Then this (the boldened) should have been your initial post. And maybe advise the mother to seek a second opinion if in your expert knowledge the medication prescribed is not usually reccommended for a child as young as 6 weeks.

Your initial posts did not just ask an innocent question it also assummed she was not EBF as well as concluding that that was the reason for the child's illness. Very accusatory and condemnatory of the mum seeking advise.

One should be mindful of their utterances and especially with what they type. Unlike spoken words which can come our wrong even with the best intentions. There is an option to review and edit written words before posting.

Mothers in the pls I need your input and how to handle this matter pls ...

My new house help have been acting strangely since morning after sometime she came to meet me and start telling me how my eight years old niece do touch her breast at night and sometimes try to jump on her body. I was just surprise. I called her into the room and started asking her questions
- the only time she was sexually molested was when she was one year her devil uncle tried to penetrate her (he is still in jail)
-her mum is a no nonsense woman so she was rightly trained
-I don't allow her to watch adult movies in short I watch all my movies in my room.

So am confuse, is it from school or have she been doing it for long.she swears that she has not been molested by anybody and she doesn't know about her uncle.

if possible try and separate them from sleeping in the same room together. And also instruct your house help that any time the boy tries it she should flog him and also report to you.
Let the girl not be changing her cloth/exposing her body in the front of your niece

Mehn! This matter tough oh.

Firstly Its probably a good thing your househelp was uncomfortable about the situation and she came to tell you.

Secondly: before she came to stay with you, who was she staying with and who were those in the house with her especially any other females she may have been sharing a room with. The person might not be much older than her but old enough and sexually exposed enough to be "experimenting" with her through "play".

Is there any "friend's " house she visits frequently? Even if not physically touching her, she may have watched inappropriate things in someones house or even on a phone. So dont rule those options out.

Thirdly: did she admit to doing what the house help claims? Question her properly and you will most likely find out from who and where she learnt to do such from.

Where did you see such behaivour? And did anyone ever do it to you.

Her mother is stern..... no mean anything. Shi.t can still go down even in plane sight. Also being very strict may mean that whenever this started with her, if she initially felt uncomfortable about it she would have been too scared to let her mum know for fear of being reprimanded.

Pele. It must be so distressing.

children dont usually like akamu.
U need to put enough baby milk (sma) inside and make it very light. Then keep giving her. She will come around slowly.
I got gerber oatmeal for 2800.
And its for supported seaters.

For sitting.... she needs to support hers3lf for now. Its later wheb she crawls and sits back that she will be very stable.
To entice her to sit well or crawl put a colorful toy in front of her.
i use teether for my girl.
She always makes attempt to collect them from me. That way she is sitting n not aware.
thanks she is now sitting perfectly 45min lesson from me every day is making it faster I download some ABC phonetic songs from YouTube she love dem I will just put it in front of her she will sit and watch !!! at what month is advisable to put a baby in day care ?

The age you put a baby in daycare is usually based on individual circumstances.

However one can start from as early as 6 weeks, if the nursery options around you are well equipped to adequately cater for the needs of a baby that young.

I will specifically say if possible to wait till the baby has had a few of their immunizations before enrolling in a nursery/ day care. Plus a decent nursery / day care should also request for your immunization card to ensure your baby is up to date with their shots before accepting the child in their care. it is one of the questions you will need to bring up with the day care when you are weighing your options.

Good day mamas. Please I need your opinion on something.
I have some items that I want to give away (about 3 packs of newborn diapers and formula 3 tins of formula that my son rejected).
There's my neighbor (opposite my house) that is very pregnant and might pop soon that I'm thinking of giving the items to. Problem is, we don't know each other..IV only seen her about 3times coming back from work and we live in a 'mind your business' estate.
Would this be seen as a good gesture or might she be offended?[/quote]

I think, u can give her the newborn diapers, but I don't think she might need those formula now, so give to someone that has like 5-9 months old baby.

I don't think she will be offended. There is a lady in my church that we hardly talk, when she gave birth, I sent her some OK stuff via her husband and I later discovered that she doesn't dress well for the baby when they later resumed church. So, I packed my boy's used clothes and baby shoes. I sat with her on the day I wanted to give her the stuffs, played with the baby and after the service, I just handed the pack over to her, she was very greatful. To my surprise, for the past 3 weeks that I gave her those stuffs, she has been wearing the clothes for the baby to church and now, we sit together in every service. She really appreciate those things and that has made me decided to give her more things.

We are best of friends now. So, do your own part and u will be surprised she will appreciate it.

Sorry for long post.

Happy new week o my lovely mothers. long time no see.

* seems I quoted the wrong person though but am sure she will see this.

Pls o wonderful mamas, if ur baby is purging, don't allow anyone to tell u is teething o. Do the needful by taking your baby to the hospital for proper treatment.
My neighbour's sister just lost her baby due to diarrhea.

God will give us the wisdom to be able to take care of these babies.

To me, I think unusual watery/mucus poo like 4-5 times a day calls for concern.

The most important first aid here is ORS! keep the baby hydrated, if the baby is not taking it, use sterilized syringe/ dropper to help out.

To all mamas: Read thru your baby immunization card to see his to treat diarrhea, and always consult your Dr before things get out of hand.

There is no set amount, it all depends on the age of the child, consistency of the poo and what is generally considered as normal for your child.

if your child usually poos a few times a day, is eating and drinking well and is generally active, it probably is no cause for concern.

Sometimes if they have a stomach bug, a day of stooling may help the system correct itself, but you need to make sure that your baby stays well hydrated during that period. if they are other wise active and eating and drinking then it should be ok.

I personally tend to monitor the situation for about 24 hours to notice any changes and tend to start giving ORT after the 3rd stool ( considering that my dd poops once a day on the average) irrespective of activity levels.

If it goes past a day, or you notice that the poo is getting more loose, baby refuses to eat and especially drink (dehydration and loss of electrolytes are very dangerous), is weak and not behaving as usual, drop everything and take your baby to the hospital.
