I am enjoying you guys back and forth and didn't want to interrupt. The emboldened actually means nothing, lassana diarra is an example of a player whose career tumbled after playing for chelsea but later came back to play for real madrid. There are players like that.

That guy is dumb.

How many games did Lukaku play at Chelsea for him to be considered a flop?

Lukaku played less than 200 league minutes for Chelsea during his entire tenure at the bridge spread over 2 seasons.

How can a player with literally only 2 league games under his belt be cobsidered a flop? I wonder if this giy has passed WAEC, because I am extremely disgusted by his logical approach to making an argument

So if we win the league this season again, and Lukaku outscores Costa, it is Costa's goals that won it for us?

Kane currently has more goals than Costa, why is his team 10 points behind?

Seriously how did you pass WAEC?

I NEED A BIGGER HOME FOR ALL
MY TROPHIES, JOKES HAZARD
Jamie Smith
A stunner against Arsenal won the Chelsea
star a Premier League Goal of the Month
prize, with the winger joking he is out of
space for his awards
Eden Hazard says he needs to move to a
bigger home so he has room to store all his
trophies.
Herrera & Wanyama have their sights on
Kante's crown
Hazard won the Premier League Goal of the

solo strike against Arsenal on February 4,
running from inside his own half to beat
Petr Cech.
The Belgium international was crowned the
Premier League's Player of the Season for
the 2014-15 campaign, in which he also took
the Professional Footballers'
Association Players' Player of the Year
and Football Writers' Association Footballer
of the Year honours.

And the winger has now joked that he will
need a bigger home to stash all his prizes
at the rate he is collecting them at.
"To be fair, I don't know," Hazard said
when asked by Chelsea TV where he keeps
his awards.

Luis Enrique has proved he is a Barcelona

Hazard accepted the goal against Arsenal,
one of 11 he has scored in the Premier

10-point cushion at the summit, included an

"It's always special when you score a good

Playing in the wings is not enough reason why you can't register a single goal in not 1, 2, 3 or 4 matches. 10 matches! But you register your first goal in West Brom in less than 15mins.

Drogba cannot play 10 games from the wing and not register a goal.
An Eighteen year old Drogba could

I don't argue football using that bolded word. If we start going into 'ifs' here, the whole point of this debate will be lost. What IF Kane score hat trick in ALL their remaining matches and we drop points AND Spurs win the league?

That aside,

Kane's goals is keeping Spurs UCL qualification on track. What have Lukaku's goals done for Everton?

Sound logic should apply in exactly the same way in a hypothetical situation as it would In a historical one.

We don't even have to wait till end of the season. Costa did not win the golden boot the year we won the league, but you keep shouting that Costa's goals won us the league. How did Costa's goals win us the league?

He brought Costa into the discussion forgetting that Costa has already secured two trophies for us.

Suarez and Lukaku both doesn't have trophies in England. So no need to involve trophy in their comparison.

It means a lot.

He played a big team and flopped. But played two average teams and shine. What does that make him? Average fish in small pond.
How many matches did he play for chelsea and flopped? I am not a big fan of lukaku, but thinking because chelsea sold him to a lower team then he cant offer anything to a bigger team again after growth, is invalid. There were very few strikers who would bench drogba at chelsea that time. Lassana diarra was quickly offloaded from arsenal after leaving chelsea, to portsmouth for 5m. A year later, real madrid bought him for 20m. Real was/is bigger than chelsea, arsenal and portsmouth. He won laliga, copa, super cup with them.

We need to get that Ryan Sessegnon for LWB - that boy is widely expected to be the next Gareth Bale. Ninja scored 2 goals and and an assist from left-back today, and he's only 16 years old!

Fikayo Tomori seems to have lost his place at Brighton. He didn't start well, with a bad own goal on debut. To be fair, he has since played twice for them but I didn't follow. By my calculation, he should be on 6 starts right now if he's a regular.

I maintain that Fabio of Middlesbrough is the best value backup for Moses. Very impressed with his attacking play today. I swear we can get that ninja for £5m.

Wingback position should have 2 options - a natural winger (Moses) and a natural fullback (Fabio) for robustness. We've got that covered on the left side with Alonso (fullback) and Kennedy (winger), although Sessegnon could be a once in a lifetime player like Bale that we should be in the market for with every other big club.

You wouldn't buy a 16 year old like Sessegnon and get rid of your first team starter. You buy him to develop like Spurs did with Bale. He could potentially be special does not mean you give him first team shirt with no senior options.

Bigkesh and Nihilist would have been shocked to read that Barca are seriously scouting Alonso and Matic for their first team. grin grin

Apropos of nothing mate.

Barca's transfer policy has been shockingly bad over the last few years. Should I be surprised that the club that signed Vermaelen, Andre Gomes, Jeremy Matthieu, Pako Alcacer and so on in recent years, are interested in signing another set of average joes? Nahhh

MSN are like God at Barca, their Abundant Grace can cover all forms of incompetence.

If we buy this boy now, we are going to waste him.

I think I've been vindicated in my stance that Chelsea is not a place for youth - just look at what Conte has done to Ake.

I remember back then when you lot wanted Ake fast tracked into the squad, I was saying the boy wasn't ready, and keeping him in the squad would foil his development. The club has done exactly that.

If this Sessegnon guy isn't ready for a 1st team shirt at Chelsea, I say leave him alone to continue developing in a place where he is guaranteed gametime, ten we can come back for him even if he cost's more. If we sign the boy today, Alonso has to chop bench strat.

Let's buy the boy as 2nd choice leftback now. His cost is £8m now, later on it could be upward of £50m.

Ake is a valued member of the squad, exactly where we expect him to be. Any injuries in his three positions and he's in. BTW our first choice LB at the time was Baba Wasteman. Only a Stevie Wonder would claim Ake should go and develop elsewhere while Baba Wasteman keep costing us points in our first team.

Pep Guardiola accepts his first season at
Manchester City will be considered a failure if
he does not win a trophy.
Guardiola had huge expectations placed on him
when he arrived at City last summer because of
his past successes with Barcelona and Bayern
Munich.
His hopes of winning the Premier League this
season seem remote with City trailing leaders
Chelsea by 10 points with 11 games remaining.
Man City 0-0 Stoke
However, Manchester City are still involved in
the FA Cup and Champions League and, even
though Guardiola is prioritising team
improvement, he realises the importance of
silverware.
"If I have no silverware, I will not be here for
a long time," he said. "No silverware - it will
not be a good season. I knew that in August.
Being a manager depends on results.
"I know how my standard is in the past about
the titles and I know what is on my shoulders
and I have to handle that.

results depend on the way you play. That's why
I need to be convinced that we're playing better

"I would like to see my team playing better at
the end of the season than at the beginning. It
is good that the players in the last month have
shown how close they are and what good team
spirit they have.
Pep Guardiola's side are still in the FA Cup and

"But I know we will be judged on the titles we
have won. My period in Munich was judged like

Champions League.

cups from three, we arrived every time in the
semi-finals and finals, (but) it was (judged) a

to play better, better, better than the previous
month. That's what I want to see for the next
year - be better."

Shebi Ake is developing now?

Blame the boss Alonso. If na Baba Wasteman who you were championing at LB, Ake would be at God level now.

The finality of the matter is that Ake is a boss player, 10 times better than Baba Wasteman who you were trying to send him away for. That was the debate, not this story you are telling us now.

We take care of our needs first as a club. For example, if Cahill gets injured today, Ake is the only player you can trust in that LCB, not relying on Matt Miazga and co. So we take care of our needs first, simple.

Same way if you are going into a season with Baba Wasteman as your first choice leftback, you must be uber incompetent to send Ake away.

Who knows, if Conte had spent preseason with Ake, we may have never gone in for Alonso. It's the same thing that happened on the other side when Conte spent preseason with Moses. As it is, Moses has developed more at Chelsea than in 3 years away on loan.

So leave the development story cover-up. You cannot send Ake away to develop, while simultaneously relying on Baba Wasteman in your first team.

Timbros use your number 6 na?

Why should Lukaku guarantee a European spot with 19 goals - is he a defender?

Lukaku with his 19 goals and 5 assists has done better than Kane(19 goals 4 assists), and Costa (17 goals 5 assists) yet his team are in 6th position, whilst Kane and Costa are 1st and 2nd.

Swap the numbers round and explain how Kane or Costa's contributions would have moved Everton into 1st or 2no place.
i will explain. Costa's goals have won more points for his team than any other player in the epl.
