Good day, Please is the company phone number compulsory on the employment reference letter. My company letter head does not have a phone number but the email addresses of my supervisor and HR manager were included. Is that good enough or I should tell them to include their mobile numbers? Thank you as I expect your swift response. |

ray78: Hi, I only have an answer to your last question, it won't be... As long as you land first... You can come back to Nigeria... Stay a year or two before finally moving. In the post you quoted, I stated that I or no one here can say how long it will take... I'm also getting a hint for the first time that working with govt can slow down your application. I don't have answers to your other questions as I'm in the process myself. Cheers. |

abusaibu: I will try to answer your question based on an advise I got here whilst trying to provide an "intent to reside in Ontario"...for a friend. A LOE stating how you intend to contribute to the economy in NB, maybe by reason of your qualification (etc.), how your work experiences fit into NB, your expertise, your communication skills (evident from your ielts results etc.). Things like that....hope you get the drift? Google is your friend here...research on NB and see what is obtainable and then tailor your LOE to fit. In addition, via job bank (I am assuming you have an active profile with job bank), apply for jobs in NB & attach all notification/evidence of the jobs applied for to your LOE. This will show that you are proactively looking for employment in NB. Hope this helps! 3 Likes |

Happy Sunday to everyone in the house and thanks to those who have been answering various questions. God Bless. Well i started this journey last year with the help of my Sister In Law but was discouraged due to my low IELTS scores then L-6 S-6 R-5.5 W-5 Now i'm ready to start everything all over again and here is my profile. Age: 24 Language scores: L8 S8 W7 R8 Qualifications: National Diploma Years of experience: 2 years POF : 1m but i have willed properties that i can sell to complete the amount stipulated for singles. I will be starting my WES evaluation this week but i'm afraid that my Diploma degree may affect my eligibility or scores or the Diploma may not be accepted. Gurus in the house, what do you think? should i continue with my application or move on to complete my BSC degree ( I just gained admission through direct entry into a Fed Uni here in Nigeria). |

Hi all, please in the IELTS speaking test is there any right or wrong answer? As long as you speak on the topic given even if the point you are trying to make isn't correct? Just want to have it in mind as I prepare. |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 3:08pm On Mar 12, 2017 |
cookies: There are no wrong or right answers. What matters is your ability to "flow" on the topic, so to speak. Even if you are talking "nonsense", just try to be fluent and use good grammar. One trainer even said that nobody cares if you are lying, just stay on the topic Don't worry about going overtime; you would be stopped anyway since the session is timed. You should not give the examiner the impression that you have nothing to say. It has also been said that vocabulary matters too, so you can try to beef up your vocabulary. 1 Like |

cookies: Your ability to speak and flow correctly in English Language is what they are after. However, be reasonable enough in ur answers. They can't ask abt A and you keep talking about X, you get. For example, they can ask you to talk about the last time u travelled out, u fit never comot una compound but formulate a realistic travel story to a country where u know some things abt, based on diff stories u have heard. |

Hello House, so I am extremely bothered about this link I just read. http://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/decisions/en/item/223933/index.do Please read it. It's about a Gtbank staff, Infact 2 that were banned from Canada for 5 years because of misrepresentation. So my question is, please is ther anyone's on this forum that worked with Gtbank that is successfully in Canada or does anyone know anyone? I am extremely bothered. The thing is the bank does not give a letter stating what we do, just our level. Please read and advise o beg you. I am confused. 2 Likes |

Frm the link, http://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/decisions/en/item/223933/index.do I think is NOC mis-match that led to the rejection of the PR. If I read it correctly. 1 Like |

peppers: I was initially speechless just like @dannio but then, I am aware of a GTB staff that has successfully relocated to Canada. IMO, you don't have to be "extremely bothered". This incident should be an eye opener to the rest of us, especially those working in the financial services industry. Like @seedgie observed, it could be a case of NOC mismatch plus apparent submission of letters that did not originate from GTB's HR. Note head office's reply; "please note that the letters were not signed in line with the Bank’s mandate and as such we are unable to confirm same”. This made the visa officer to conclude that the letter was fraudulent. This shows that they do confirm, at least, some of the supporting documents post-ITA. We must try to be as honest and transparent as much as possible to avoid a whopping 5 year ban. If a letter/document is not obtainable, we can get alternative documents to support our claims and do a LOE. cc: dupyshoo 2 Likes |
