Tradition.... 'that guy is such a first-class jerk!' She threw her clutch on the purse 'one minute he was friendly and the other, he was asking me out of his office, such a crazy fucking dude!' 'Shiv calm down' Mia sighed, her hands on her hips 'you obviously went there and messed things up somehow' Shiv turned to her sister abruptly 'me? Messed things up? Is that what you're saying?! You actually think i messed things up myself?' 'maybe you spoke to him in a manner....' 'are you fucking taking his side?' 'Shiv, language' Mia said as a warning. Shiv fell on the sofa, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. 'Shiv, Dike's royalty. There's a way you speak to such people. You were probably rude...' 'that dude was rude too!' Shivani snapped. 'shhhh. Listen to me now Shiv, calm down. You're going to have to go back to him tomorrow and apologise to....' 'what the hell are you insinuating Mia?! That i should go back and apologise to that rotten ass-jerk?' 'rotten ass-jerk or not, he still remains the crown prince!' Mia fired back fuming. She didnt like the way Shiv sounded so rude. No one should ever abuse Dike that way. 'i'm not goin' back there, period!' 'then you get prepared to marry him and disappoint Choudhary, okay?!' 'and i'm sure as hell aint marrying him' Mia chuckled sarcastically 'you? Do you have a say of your own? Mother comes to you with a tearful face and you're all mummy's dilligent and obedient child once more' 'Mia, mind the way you speak to me. I am not your mate. I'm your elder sister for crying out loud!' 'elder sister ma foot! Listen to me and listen very carefully Shiv, whether you like it or not, you're leaving for the states and you're going to marry Choudhary. I wont sit back and watch you marry Dike, its never gonna happen, never!' 'what really are your intentions for not wanting me to marry Dike? Because i really dont understand you now? Do you have ulterior motives?' Temper were flying now. 'so you really think i have ulterior motives now right? Well, i dont blame you, i dont blame you a'all! You have everything you want. Mother's love, the life of a princess that you most probably cant understand what it feels like to not have something you've treasured for a long time! You....' Mia stopped herself immediately. What had just happened? Had she just spilled the bean? Oh no! This wasnt how she had planned out everything. 'so you've treasured mother's attention for a long time?' Shiv asked rising on her feet, her hands akimbo. Mia didnt know whether to let out a sigh of relief or not. But she was grateful her sister misunderstood her. Foolish Shivani! Mia raised her head up 'yes! I've always craved mother's attention, gat a problem with that?' 'you're just stupid Mia. I never figured you'd be this senseless' 'comes from a girl who's ready to throw away her love because of fucking royalty!' Mia snorted. Shiv's brow shot up 'so you actually think i'd want to disappoint Choudhary because of royalty? Is that how low you think of me Mia?' 'well isnt it obvious that you care so much about royalty? Isnt that probably the reason why you went there and blew everything out of proportion?' 'you werent there Mia and so you're oblivious to what exactly happened!' 'i might not have been there but i know what you're fucking capable of!' Mia screamed throwing a fist in the air. 'what the hell-is happening here?' The two sisters directed their angry gazes to the door to see their mother standing there. Obviously she had returned from her meeting without them noticing due to their heated argument. 'mum' Shivani called panting. Then she forced a smile 'you're back' Mia swallowed a hiss. 'what was the noises all about? You two want to turn my house into a forefront?' She turned to Mia 'Mia, you silly idiot, your voice was of course the loudest, what was the problem' 'nothing' Mia replied through gritted teeth. 'i heard you use forbidden words against your sister. Come here right now!' Her mother commanded. 'uhm, mum, its okay' Shivani said immediately 'lets just go to your room, you must be exhausted' Her mother raised her palm up 'hold on, lemme discipline this disrespectful spoilt sister of yours, so next time, she would learn to respect you' 'no mum, thats okay. We just had a little argument, its not something new. We'll settle our differences, that i assure you' 'you're the reason this idiot keeps speaking to you anyhow, because you dont discipline her! You're too close to Mia and i pray it ends well' She walked away. Shiv spared Mia one last glance before going with her mother. Mia threw herself on the sofa 'Shiv's gonna pay for this insults!'
