She never mentions the benefits that come with being a woman, such as people treating you better, easier to get a job, state support in domestic conflict, alimony rights, child support rights etc. In the US and the west in general, men go through hell following marriage conflict. You're mixing up biological assignment with gender identity. Each person is born biologically male or biologically female. Gender identity deals with how a person identifies himself or herself as a man or a woman. Yes, gender identity is a social construct, basically roles society has assigned for each male or female on how to "behave" as a man or woman. Trans women are people biologically born male who now identify as women while ciswomen are people born biologically female who identify as women.
