Critics tell you the problems with your work like if you're having too many grammatical errors and things like that. They just don't say: Senseless story without a taste. You're a hater, not a critic.

Question everyone:
Do you think Mia's to blame for the way she's acting? Do you think she doesnt have the right to fight for what she feels belongs to her as well? Dont you think she has a right to prove her mother wrong?
I think she should have confided in her sister for her admiration to Dike knowing fully well that her sister has someone whom she loved already.

Freda is a horrible mother! She's succeeded in twisting Mia psychologically. I don't blame Mia, she's every right to fight for what she wants! A patient dog eats no bone! U gotta fight for what U want. Mia has every right to fight for a greater destiny.
Maybe you did not go through what the writer said was her reason why she doesn't want Mia to marry Dike. She is having a secret affair with the Igwe and the tendency of Mia being igwe's daughter is there, and that will mean that Dike is getting married to his own blood sister.

Tradition...
Shivani was up by 2am. She couldnt sleep the whole night. Tossing and turning, thinking about virtually everything at the same time. Thoughts of Choudhary who had practically refused to give her phone rest as he kept bombarding her phone with text messages and calls.
Then thoughts of Mia kept crawling to her memory. She really didnt understand her sister anymore these days. What was wrong with her? The way she kept pressing on the fact that marrying Dike was a wrong idea even going as far as throwing a tantrum was way too suspicious. Was her mum right? Could she envious of her?

She inhaled. She needed alcohol to cool her fraying nerves. She quietly sneaked out of her room hoping she didnt have to run into her mum who frowned at her taking alcohol. Still, she didnt know why her mum always stocked the bar with various wines, brands of all kinds. For the visitors probably, she rolled her eyes.

She stopped short when she saw Mia sitting by the bar, a bottle of Night Train in her left hand and a cigarette dangling between her lips. She froze 'Mia?' She called.

Her sister looked up at her, surprise registering in her eyes before she looked away, inhaling and letting out a thick cloud of smoke. Shiv coughed waving the smoke away with her hand 'Mia?'

'yes?' her sister answered nonchalantly taking a sip from her Night train 'any problem?'

'you're smoking?'

'isnt it obvious?'

'you do...smoke Mia?'

'now you realise'

'how did this happen!' Shiv couldnt believe her ears 'when did this start?'

Her sister shrugged 'from secondary school i guess. You probably never noticed, how could you when you were busy being mummy's little puppet' She let out another cloud of smoke.

'Mia, put that down. Put the cigarette down this instant' She said anger seeping into her tone.

'you might want to keep your voice down. Mother might hear you'

'put that in the ashtray quickly' Shiv said pointing to the ashtray beside her sister. She could see the butts of cigarettes and she knew her sister had taken way too many for the night.

'no thanks'

'Mia'

'will you stop calling my name?' Her sister flared rising on her feet. She staggered a little and she knew immediately that she was also drunk. Her mother couldnt see Mia this way. Things would only grow worse.

'Mia, you're drunk. Put the cigarette away and i'll take you to your room' She was about taking a step further when Mia raised her palm up, reducing it to her index finger.

'dont you dare come close Shiv. Because if you do, i'll smash this bottle on your head' Shivani gasped 'twirl around, and head back to your room. What brought you here in the first place anyway? Go' She staggered backwards.

'Mia, you shouldnt do this...come, i'll...'

'go!' Mia raised her voice higher and Shiv was afraid her mother was going to hear.

'i'll not leave you alone this way. You may do something terrible to yourself if you continue this way...'

'you have no say in my life baby girl! No say at all' Mia pointed a drunken finger at her 'you have no idea how i've managed to survive all these years without a mother's guide so dont tell me rubbish, okay?'

'Mia, you're drunk'

'i'm not drunk!' her sister snapped angrily 'i'm in complete control of my damn senses okay? I'm completely okay and...' She belched 'i know what i'm saying'
She took a swig from her drink

'Mia, give it to me!' She moved closer snatching the drink from her sister's grasp.

'give it back!' Mia screeched.

'mum's gonna hear'

'let her hear for all i fucking bloody care! Does it look like i bloody care about her? She isnt my mother so she's free to hear whatever Bleep she wants to hear!'

'Mia watch your language and its mum you're talking 'bout here'

'tell me something new' She fell on the floor, gripped the chair for balance.

'Mia, stop this. Lemme help you to your room' She placed a hand under her armpit and helped her up 'i'll take you to your room okay? Its almost 2:30am, i dont know if you'll be able to make it to...'

'your wedding ceremony? You mean the wedding you will never attend?' Mia laughed wickedly 'there shall be no wedding Shivani, i'll make sure of that' She belched again, staggered and laughed, she relaxed her head on her sister's shoulders as they slowly climbed the stairs.

'you dont know what you're saying Mia' Shiv covered her nose at the stale smell of alcohol oozing from her sister's mouth.

'hahahahaha, lets watch and see'

Mia dropped to the bed like a heap. Shiv covered her with a blanket 'you just have a little more to sleep. Have some rest. Goodnight' She turned off the lights and left the room, locking it outside with a lock so Mia doesnt step out till morning.
