Mourinho is a Chelsea legend, there is no doubt about that, his name is certainly inscribed in the clubs folklore for sure. You can't talk of the modern day Chelsea with alluding credit and respect to Jose Felix Mourinho. What he is doing now is not surprising or unbecoming of him, I infact see it as him recognizing us as a sure heavy threat to his success. It's no hidden fact that he's the master of mind games, a man who likes to get under his opponents skin to dislodge them psychologically and have a mental edge over them. While at Chelsea, he successfully got under arsenal and Liverpools mindset with his incessant mind games and to this day has an edge over them. Likewise with pep. Him trying to get under Chelsea's skin shouldn't be surprising or baffling to anyone. We loved him like that, we enjoyed it while it lasted and in as much as I'm peeved with his actions, I understand that it is his pattern, one which has been successful for him for a long time, I certainly hope Chelsea wouldn't fall for it.

It's too early to tell if it's working or not. I really don't feel like defending Mourinhos performance this season but should he win the Europa league after winning the league cup and finishing in the top four, that will certainly be a monumental progress from what man-u have had in the past few years and they are actually playing good football, creating bucket loads of chances but just being wasteful in front of goal which isn't down to him personally. It's logical to say they would be serious contenders for the title next season but still for now, it's fair to say, there is progress at Manchester United.
