In most part of Africa, culture is different from religion because there was a culture of the people before the religion arrived.

That's are distinct in my own part of the world. We are proud of our culture as our heritage while also embracing religion as we wish and believe. The religion cannot rub is of our culture, our names etc because that will be jettisoning our cherished culture for another foreign culture , who we are not and can never be.

Whether you accept it or not you cannot compare the number of written materials that will be available to you as someone who has mastered English to an appreciable level than the volume of research materials at the disposal of someone proficient in Hausa language only

Like I said earlier, it helps in communicating with members of other tribes who don't speak or write in Hausa.

Have you heard of Wole Soyinka (Yoruba man) or Chinua Achebe (an Igbo man), these guys mastered the language, we still have many in this generation who have also mastered the it. You guys give up so easily, you believe in remaining in your comfort zone, smh
