Yes. We have eyes to see and the sixth sense to think right and not to commit sin. |

So you are trying to say the job should be for only unbelievers and muslims? Born again christians can not avoid certain professions |

AZeD1:Thanks for the insult. It doesn't change anything about me. A woman does not need to be naked for you to lust after her but here we are talking about treating people of the opposite sex who need to be unclad and that puts one in a precarious position to lust. My thread is not a judgement on medical staff but a counsel from loving heart directed at people who have salvation and their purity to protect in order not to endanger their souls. It is an opinion, not a doctrine. I believe there are people who see it this way and appreciate it accordingly. Thanks. |

Tedpgrass:This is very insightful and interesting. Most professionals would not engage in unethical practice in order not to be disqualified or lose their license. Even at that, some still fall prey. How I pray that as we value our earthly careers, we will in the same vein value our relationship with God and eternal destiny much more. Thank you very much sir for your wonderful contribution. |

Sexyolori:You are right sir. That is exactly my point. My message is not for everybody. It is only for the born again male gynos. It so happens that I used a public forum like this as my medium of communication. The Bible says he that thinks he stands should be careful lest he fall. Satan is seriously after the fall of a born again Christian to prevent him/her from making heaven and also to bring reproach to the body of Christ. Thanks sir. |

hotspec:Non of those who do such is born again sir. If any was, he/she is now a backslidder. But there are people who are really born again and by their fruits, sir, you shall know them. Sir, it is the will of God that you become one today by repenting of your sins and surrendering your life to Christ. God can use you to convert and correct the sinners. Thanks a lot. |

unto:Sir, you are right, yet wrong. Our self efforts cannot save us, it is by grace as we repent and accept Christ by faith- true. But to claim that God perfects whom He wants to perfect, implying that God is partial is wrong sir. We are free moral agents - free to accept or reject Christ and the salvation He brings, and the consequences are ours. But your point on the role of gynaecologists is well understood. Thanks. |

Sinkills:Sir, A doctor CANNOT qualify as a doctor (pass from school) without having STUDIED women anatomy. He or she must also learn to fully examine women of all ages and ALL body parts including sexual organs . He or she will be taught how to make appropriate diagnosis based on such findings. This series of steps in knowledge starts with 18 months or so of examining and cutting open dead bodies followed by studies on living bodies. During that period, ones mind will mature from seeing sexy bodies to bodies in need of repair. You are only allowing your imagination to paint a picture of a male doctor with his emotions troubling him when he sees a naked body. You will loose that notion rapidly, i can assure you, if you spend an hour in the labour room! I am a born again Christian by the way and being so for the last 25years and by His grace, knowing Him more daily and I can assure you, i have seen naked bodies- male and female, whole, broken, mangled and diseased and i wake up daily thanking God for the grace to continue being a source of light to those He brings my way MALE or FEMALE! 1 Like |

Sinkills:Well, you are entitled to your opinion. A patient at hand is not an object of sexual arousal. He/She is in dire need of a Doctor/Nurse, any health professional who derive pleasure from such a sick/dying person is mad. 1 Like |

This topic is very technical, the point of the OP is about a Born-Again christian doing it, not that he or she will carry out deviant actions on the patient but what goes through the mind of such male in his quiet time or flashes through his mind..(After viewing a pretty damsel, a damn pretty one that will get all your nerves at edge...)...we are all humans and our brain gives us a daily replay of everyday activities while we rest...what playbacks do these Gynaes get at the end of the day...? #JustThinking# |

A Christian should be light and an example in any profession he/she practices. People say various negative things about different professions but we still have good Christians practicing those professions and holding unto the tenets of the Scriptures. For instance, not all lawyers lie as some are Christians and have DECIDED to obey God and shine as lights to others. I remember my doctor (male) going into the theatre and praying earnestly before the surgery began while the people in charge of anesthesia were doing their part. I always thank God for his life when I remember. Also, on a larger scale, male doctors/ medical practitioners are more sympathetic to the plight of women esp. in pregnancy. Some female med. persons could ask unreasonable questions like 'na you first born' when a woman is screaming due to labour pains. Most male doctors will rather pacify the woman. In conclusion, no profession is stated in the Bible or any other book/place to be restricted to any gender. Just discover your purpose in line with your career and follow through. Decide to shine as light in that profession. Life is all about DECISIONS. Peace. |

Sinkills, I must say this again: hats off to you. I've watched how you've carried yourself through the total onslaught of comments/attacks for you having a belief. You were slandered, maligned, criticized....left & right. I learned something here. It's not "what's" thrown at one, but rather "how" one responds (regardless of the situation). You sir, handled this like a true man of God (humility, class, gentleness, and grace etc). No way on Earth could you have replied like you have..unless Christ is with you. You aren't a "fake". Thank you Lord for showing me that you still have some reserved... From "32,000 down to a small "300" men in that particular army....hint..Gideon. It's never a majority |

Sinkills:There u go again. Ure one of the hypocrites i mentioned. Presuming and tagging me a sinner because i condemned some evil acts committed by born again's. I blv u will be ok by a gay gyna attending to male patient and a lesbian gyna attending to female clients? U claimed to be a born-again, u dont know me, but because i exposed some atrocities has made u tagged me a sinner. Where in d Bible is recorded that a profession is a crime? ; but im sure u will collect his tithes, if hez ur church member. I remeber one Pastor many years back asking me.not to study Mass Comm because as a born again, its a no-no, as that profession is for liers. Is it only journalists dt lie? What of pastors that lie even on d pulpit concorting different jack and bull stories that are not real. I am a born again, and u should seek forgiveness claiming to be holier than d pope, and tagging people sinners. Check this my article, it will help ur ministry: https://www.nairaland.com/3512313/what-essence-church-christianity |

hotspec:Sorry sir, I assumed you were yet to be born again because of the way you tagged sinners in the Church 'born again' sarcastically. I thought you were being pessimistic and insinuating that no one is actually born again. This is actually the attitude many unbelievers I have come across have and demonstrate. That was why I had to correct this impression, encourage you to repent personally and accept Christ so that you can realise that salvation from sin is real and so that you can be used to convert the sinners. You could have simply given your opinion sir without given a wrong impression about yourself. On the issue, I do not support gays, lesbians or any other atrocious people. Anyone who engages in such must quickly repent or else stands the risk of eternal damnation. In my candid opinion, a Christian should choose or be assisted to choose a profession that will not conflict with his/her faith or make him/her to be confessing sin now and then. If he/she is already in one that is not unscriptural but subject to temptations, he/she needs prayer and watchfulness at all times. Once again, I am sorry sir. I pray that God gives you the grace to fulfil your ministry I J N, Amen. |

CatfishBilly:I see, you do not believe in eternity. You are entitled to your belief sir. But sir, that you do not believe in something does not delete it from existence. I would advise you to believe and go back to God (not religion). If you believe and you later die to find out that eternity is not real, you would have nothing to lose, do you? If on the other hand, you refuse to believe (repent, accept Christ's sacrifice on your behalf and make your ways right with God) and you die to find out to your chagrin that eternity is real, sir you would have made an eternally regretable mistake! Your anguish (God forbid) would be worsened by the fact that you once believed or was close to believing!! I pray you make the right decision now I J N, Amen. |
