Super Eagles in camp:

Chidozie Awaziem, Isaac Success, Ogenyi Onazi, Carl Ikeme, Bazee Noah and Alex Iwobi.
Simon Moses, Wilfred Ndidi, Shehu Abdullahi and Ahmed Musa.

10 players in camp.. All players in England should be there already since the camp is in England.

And Victor Moses and Iheanacho are not yet in camp? I am sure that Nacho would be there before the end of the day but VicMo might try to skip this one. I would really recommend for the NFF to ban Victor Moses if he skips this friendly game.

if we can't win without Victor Moses, so be it. We need to put an end to this kind of shakara.

my brother if you be coach you no go fit manage players oh..That's the Nigerian factor. I think a player has the right to choose whether to honor a call or not to. In your place you have to discipline him responsibly. there are more reasonable penalties than banning.

in my opinion whatever match they choose to show up, you let him fight back real hard for his shirt from the bench.

I disagree. Wolfsburg saw enough in training and friendlies to sign him to a professional deal and make him one of the three strikers in the first team.

That's not in dispute, they saw potential and felt he has something to offer.

However, to date he hasn't had one game for the first team. The question remains on what basis was he invited to the senior Eagles team. Distant past Glory.

How the @bolded made the list is beyond my imagination.

I am suspecting Rohr has been compromised.

On the same basis -- potential -- barring injuries. Mind you he has trained under the watch of Rohr before. What you do in training does not go unnoticed.

Well, I see your point. But in my opinion, we should demand total commitment from our players.

To me, I would rather go to battle with average players who are willing to give 110% to the cause, rather than going with the so called super stars who can only give you 90% or less.

Wolfsburg is an underperforming team right now but they are not a small club. Do u even know any Wolfsburg players?

From the past quite a few, currently the only guy that rings a big bell is Mario Gomez and that's relying on past Glory with B. Munich he over thirty so he may not be as sharp.

This is a team that has left it's glory years behind. I still think the lower part of the Bundesliga is just about English championship level.

In this regard Osimhen should by now have claimed jersey.

When should he have claimed Jersey, when he has been injured since the league resumed? How?

I'd enjoy the Argument! But I think we should trust the new Manager! We should allow Rohr to build his own Team!

There is CHAN for the local Players to show their Talents. Seriously, I'm ain't impressed with what the local Players are performing in the League!

I've watched the matches of Kano Pillars, Enyimba, 3SC, Akwa United, Rangers, IUFC, MFM, Remo Stars and so on, candidly speaking we still have a long way to go!

Local Lads should be tested with CHAN, and the standouts among them can be promoted to the Senior Team.

What about one or two promising talents in Europe?

And what if the coaching crew feels no promising talents at home merits a call up?
If he really thinks so. Then someone is not doing his job. Stephen Odeh is on 10 our of 10. If he continues this way he will break Ahmed Musa's record by half way mark.

Well, I know the league is not that superb but we should also admit that potentially good players at one point in time played in the Bundusliga 2. e.g David Alaba played in the Bundusliga 3.

Sarenren Bazee has been seen as a prospect even from the German point of view. grin

You cannot get away from better players get courted by better clubs. You improve also playing with better players.

In this regard our once English colonisers have really not helped us. English football should be a home to Nigerian players but it is TOTALLY NOT.

The entire French league system is the bedrock that is underpinning Franco phone Africa football development. England is the exact opposite of that with African black players side stepped for Caucasian players who are not as good.

I have no statistics to substantiat my position but from mere observations. I can you assure that Senegal could easily create a first 11, with regular first team quality players from the French league 1, not bench warmers or academy players.

Nigeria would struggle to put together 6 players from the EPL

and France keep stealing the best of their talents...u call that help sir?
to me that is not help..... harnessing and taking up the best players...from these helpless francophone countries.. who have continue to be puppets to France...take a look at the French national team and imagine if those players...had played fr their Africa nation...
England has not done same with us yet..in same proportion we are already crying wolf..I bet u won't be able to stand it...should England act like France

Really? The same Gomez that started matches for Germany at the Euro's? Wolfsburg made it to the quarter finals of the champions league just last year. Calling them a championship level team is a joke.

If none deserves to be promoted, then they should be disbanded!

But I would suggest local Players between 19 - 22 Years of age should be called up into the CHAN Team.

Also, the same Team should be given an opportunity to represent the Country U23 Team.

Perhaps, they can eventually pick up and show what they are capable of as time goes by!

Ejike scored at the dot of the 90th minute to push it to extra time. The whole team had a shocking first half where Morocco lead 3-0. They came back in the second half and replied all 3 goals and pushed the game to extra time. You don't have to resort to lies to make your point. I will always expose them.
Lying to ourselves won't help anybody.

so does that mean that he wasn't poor for 60-70 mins of the 90 minutes? Which one is a lie?

Hope u remember Atlanta 96,Nigeria vs Brazil.Pls go and watch d match again and tell me Kanu's performance in that match.

kanu had a quiet game in greater part of d match but when it reached certain stage Kanu came alive with two great magical moment and two goals that nailed Brazil.

After d match he was given man of d match coz d two goals were massive and we got it at d needed time.

My man w u say Kanu had a poor game coz he was quiet for like 70 mins of d match.

What make a player is not about running up and down for 90 mins alone but sometimes a magical moment when a player need to lift his team.

Kanu did it against Brazil and Uzoenyi did it against Morocco,d two brought a dead team alive again coz at that moment nobody gives Nigeria any chance again, sorry for comparison.

there is a great difference between poor and quiet game. Kanu had a quiet game yes but not a poor game. Ejike Uzoenyi had a poor game for the most part of the match, that's the difference.

See, i have always been at the fore front of calls for drafting of our NPFL youngsters into our U20 and U23 teams.

We have a lot of young and talented players from d local league who can compete favorably well with youngsters in Europe and S. America at these age grade competitions.

I once raised questions about Odey not being part of the Amuneke's U20 team. TheGoodJoe will recall that discussion.

I personally believe that with d current trend of movements in the local league any good player would have left for Europe or elsewhere before they are 25yrs old. I dnt take any player above 25 still playing in the local league serious.

Talks like "Rohr should dig deep into the NPFL and he may unearth a rare gem".
If there is a rare gem in the league, u dnt need to dig deep to identify the person. His name should be ringing on everybody's lips. His performance will unearth him and not Rohr.

Even with the call for home based players inclusion the only name i have even heard here is Stephen Odey. That tells a lot.

My comments are not questioning Wolfsburg rational for signing him.

But how on earth did we invite a player to the Eagles who has from comments posted here not kicked a ball for quite some time. And not played one game for Lowly Wolfsburg a team looking at relegation. That's just incomprehensible.

Wolfsburg is not a Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern or PSG, etc with World class players blocking the progression of youth players.
